Dr.ML King 48 Assassination Anniversary – King betrayed and Killed by Masonic Brothers

King Remembrance Week 2016 – Martin Luther King Jr …

The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site and Ebenezer
Baptist Church will commemorate the annual observance of King
Remembrance Week which honors the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. April 4-8, 2016. To commence the Park’s week
long series of public activities, a special Wreath-Laying Ceremony will
take place at Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, Heritage Sanctuary in
Atlanta, Georgia on Monday April 4, 2016 at 5:30pm. This year marks the
48th anniversary of the death of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968 at the Lorraine
Motel in Memphis, Tennessee and was brought home to be buried in the
Sweet Auburn community. On April 9, 1968, his funeral took place at
Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church and Morehouse College. To reflect upon
that solemn occasion in history, the National Park Service along with
members of Ebenezer Baptist Church will place a replica of the 1968
wreath on the historic location of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Heritage
Sanctuary as it appeared on April 9, 1968. There will be a brief program
with remarks by National Park Service officials and other dignitaries
before laying the wreath upon the church’s façade.

The King Assassination Conspiracy: Betrayed by Judas

On March 28 1968 King was leading a march
in downtown Memphis when a masonic planned riot broke out and two Negro Masonic
assassins chased King and Abernathy with the intent to assassinate both King
and Abernathy on March 28.

King and Abernathy were able to find
refuge at a white business until the white print shop owner was able to safely escort
King and Abernathy out of town.

On April 3, 1968, Loree Bailey, the co-owner of
the Lorain Motel received a call from a member of Kings inner circle in Atlanta
requesting that a specific room on the second floor be reserve for King.
(King had always stayed in a secure room on the 1st floor.) On April 4,
Loree Bailey overheard a member of Kings entourage asking him to come out of
his room and speak to a small group that had assemble in the parking lot.
Loree Bailey knew that King was in bed suffering from a severe headache but
this member of Kings inner circle insisted that King come out and talk to the
people. King reluctantly came out of his room to speak to the small crowd when
he was shoot. Loree knew the identity of the Judas who had Dr. King set-up
to be assassinated. There
were Negro masonic assassins  in Memphis the day of
the assassination
one from Forrest City Arkansas. Were these  the same assassins who attempted to kill King a week earlier?  According to testimony from eye witnesses from the King
family vs. US government trial, the gun smoke came from the bushes across from
the motel and not from the bathroom window at the boarding
house where Ray had stayed.

Was the Judas who betrayed King following orders from his Masonic White Master?
Loree
Bailey was killed, hung in the stairwell of her motel only hours after
the King assassination. The official cover-up statement said that Loree
Bailey had a stroke on April 4th and died a few days later.
Who
was the Judas who set-up King? Was King assassination a Masonic hit?

The 47th
anniversary of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination should
inspire us all to reimagine this political revolutionary’s final act as a
statesman and civil rights leader.
In the afterglow of the March on Washington and the
Selma-to-Montgomery march, King became a pillar of fire, rejecting the
course of political moderation and social reform that had made him
palatable to white leaders and a hero to African Americans.
King’s final years
found him linking the struggle for racial justice to a wider crusade to
end war and poverty. Tellingly, his comprehensive approach, which
focused on changing America’s foreign and domestic policies as well as
hearts and minds, found him under attack by critics who claimed that he
was in over his head on the subject of Vietnam and foolish to break with
former ally President Lyndon B. Johnson.
The radical King formed an anti-war political alliance with black
power leader Stokely Carmichael. On April 15, 1967, in New York City, King and Carmichael
headlined the largest anti-war rally in American history to that date,
placing two of the era’s leading black political activists at the
forefront of a still-unpopular anti-war movement.
King had also publicly repudiated the war in Vietnam exactly one year
to the day before his death in a speech at Riverside Church in New York
City. His speech, “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break the Silence,” announced
his formal break with both the Johnson Administration (he would never
visit the White House again) and political moderation.
Journalists and newspapers immediately attacked King for going beyond
his civil rights portfolio into the world of foreign policy and
international politics. Many publicly denounced him for having
irrevocably damaged the black freedom struggle by linking it to the
Vietnam War. King’s public approval ratings dropped precipitously among
whites and blacks for his uncompromising stance.
His final speech, in Memphis, Tenn., where he aided 1,000 striking
black sanitation workers, concluded with biblical references to having
seen the “promised land,” and is noteworthy for its rhetorical and political combativeness.
In words that would not sound out of place at contemporary #BlackLivesMatter protests, King asserted that “the greatness of America is the right to protest for right.

King’s political evolution remains unacknowledged by most of the
American public, leading to the irony of critics of the
#BlackLivesMatter movement asserting that contemporary protesters would
do well to follow in the footsteps of King and other heroes of the civil
rights era. Missing from such criticism is the reality of the later
King, the prophet who, after being recognized in his own lifetime, was
thoroughly disregarded by past allies, politicians and the public for
speaking truth to power in a manner that made the entire nation
uncomfortable.

At the end of his life, King asserted that racism, militarism and materialism represented the greatest threats to humanity that the world had ever seen. History has proved King’s words to be prophetic.
The massive protests that erupted last year in the wake of grand jury
decisions not to indict police officers in Ferguson, Mo., and Staten
Island, N.Y., represent, in both symbolic and substantive ways, a
continuation of the radical King’s political work.
Updating King’s “triple threat” means understanding the ways in which
the militarism of which he spoke has invaded our domestic sphere
through mass incarceration; how materialism promotes the largest income
and wealth gap between the rich and poor in American history; and how
institutional racism contours our current social, political and economic
systems.
King spent his whole life preaching an unusually eloquent message
that black lives mattered. His two most famous political sermons (at the
March on Washington in 1963 and in Montgomery, Ala., in 1965) were
broadcast by every major television network.
Yet there were many more radical speeches to be made, ones that
linked political revolution to radical policy changes that went beyond
the vote, that advocated economic redistribution and an end to war,
along with a “revolution in values
designed to transform the very foundations of American democracy. It is
this King whom #BlackLivesMatter demonstrations most accurately reflect
and honor, even as he’s the one our nation continues to ignore.

Assassination Conspiracy Trial

Reprint from the King Center:

After four weeks of testimony and over 70 witnesses in a civil trial in
Memphis, Tennessee, twelve jurors reached a unanimous verdict on
December 8, 1999 after about an hour of deliberations that Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr. was assassinated as a result of a conspiracy. In a
press statement held the following day in Atlanta, Mrs. Coretta Scott
King welcomed the verdict, saying , “There is abundant evidence of a
major high level conspiracy in the assassination of my husband, Martin
Luther King, Jr. And the civil court’s unanimous verdict has validated
our belief. I wholeheartedly applaud the verdict of the jury and I feel
that justice has been well served in their deliberations. This verdict
is not only a great victory for my family, but also a great victory for
America. It is a great victory for truth itself. It is important to know
that this was a SWIFT verdict, delivered after about an hour of jury
deliberation. The jury was clearly convinced by the extensive evidence
that was presented during the trial that, in addition to Mr. Jowers, the
conspiracy of the Mafia, local, state and federal government agencies,
were deeply involved in the assassination of my husband. The jury also
affirmed overwhelming evidence that identified someone else, not James
Earl Ray, as the shooter, and that Mr. Ray was set up to take the blame.
I want to make it clear that my family has no interest in retribution.
Instead, our sole concern has been that the full truth of the
assassination has been revealed and adjudicated in a court of law… My
husband once said, “The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends
toward justice.” To-day, almost 32 years after my husband and the father
of my four children was assassinated, I feel that the jury’s verdict
clearly affirms this principle. With this faith, we can begin the 21st
century and the new millennium with a new spirit of hope and healing.”

In
the complaint filed by the King family, “King versus Jowers and Other
Unknown Co-Conspirators,” the only named defendant, Loyd Jowers, was
never their primary concern. As soon became evident in court, the real
defendants were the anonymous co-conspirators who stood in the shadows
behind Jowers, the former owner of a Memphis bar and grill. The Kings
and Pepper were in effect charging U.S. intelligence agencies —
particularly the FBI and Army intelligence — with organizing,
subcontracting, and covering up the assassination. Such a charge
guarantees almost insuperable obstacles to its being argued in a court
within the United States. Judicially it is an unwelcome beast.

I can
hardly believe the fact that, apart from the courtroom participants,
only Memphis TV reporter Wendell Stacy and I attended from beginning to
end this historic three-and-one-half week trial. Because of journalistic
neglect scarcely anyone else in this land of ours even knows what went
on in it. After critical testimony was given in the trial’s second week
before an almost empty gallery, Barbara Reis, U.S. correspondent for the
Lisbon daily Publico who was there several days, turned to me
and said, “Everything in the U.S. is the trial of the century. O.J.
Simpson’s trial was the trial of the century. Clinton’s trial was the
trial of the century. But this is the trial of the century, and who’s here?”

Many
qualifiers have been attached to the verdict in the King case. It came
not in criminal court but in civil court, where the standards of
evidence are much lower than in criminal court. (For example, the
plaintiffs used unsworn testimony made on audiotapes and videotapes.)
Furthermore, the King family as plaintiffs and Jowers as defendant
agreed ahead of time on much of the evidence.

But
these observations are not entirely to the point. Because of the
government’s “sovereign immunity,” it is not possible to put a U.S.
intelligence agency in the dock of a U.S. criminal court. Such a step
would require authorization by the federal government, which is not
likely to indict itself. Thanks to the conjunction of a civil court, an
independent judge with a sense of history, and a courageous family and
lawyer, a spiritual breakthrough to an unspeakable truth occurred in
Memphis. It allowed at least a few people (and hopefully many more
through them) to see the forces behind King’s martyrdom and to feel the
responsibility we all share for it through our government. In the end,
twelve jurors, six black and six white, said to everyone willing to
hear: guilty as charged.

We can also thank the unlikely figure of Loyd Jowers for providing a way into that truth.

Loyd
Jowers: When the frail, 73-year-old Jowers became ill after three days
in court, Judge Swearengen excused him. Jowers did not testify and said
through his attorney, Lewis Garrison, that he would plead the Fifth
Amendment if subpoenaed. His discretion was too late. In 1993 against
the advice of Garrison, Jowers had gone public. Prompted by William
Pepper’s progress as James Earl Ray’s attorney in uncovering Jowers’s
role in the assassination, Jowers told his story to Sam Donaldson on Prime Time Live.
He said he had been asked to help in the murder of King and was told
there would be a decoy (Ray) in the plot. He was also told that the
police “wouldn’t be there that night.”

In
that interview, the transcript of which was read to the jury in the
Memphis courtroom, Jowers said the man who asked him to help in the
murder was a Mafia-connected produce dealer named Frank Liberto.
Liberto, now deceased, had a courier deliver $100,000 for Jowers to hold
at his restaurant, Jim’s Grill, the back door of which opened onto the
dense bushes across from the Lorraine Motel. Jowers said he was visited
the day before the murder by a man named Raul, who brought a rifle in a
box.

As Mike Vinson reported in the March-April Probe,
other witnesses testified to their knowledge of Liberto’s involvement
in King’s slaying. Store-owner John McFerren said he arrived around 5:15
pm, April 4, 1968, for a produce pick-up at Frank Liberto’s warehouse
in Memphis. (King would be shot at 6:0l pm.) When he approached the
warehouse office, McFerren overheard Liberto on the phone inside saying,
“Shoot the son-of-a-bitch on the balcony.”

Café-owner
Lavada Addison, a friend of Liberto’s in the late 1970’s, testified
that Liberto had told her he “had Martin Luther King killed.” Addison’s
son, Nathan Whitlock, said when he learned of this conversation he asked
Liberto point-blank if he had killed King.

“[Liberto]
said, `I didn’t kill the nigger but I had it done.’ I said, `What about
that other son-of-a-bitch taking credit for it?’ He says, `Ahh, he
wasn’t nothing but a troublemaker from Missouri. He was a front man . . .
a setup man.'”

The
jury also heard a tape recording of a two-hour-long confession Jowers
made at a fall 1998 meeting with Martin Luther King’s son Dexter and
former UN Ambassador Andrew Young. On the tape Jowers says that meetings
to plan the assassination occurred at Jim’s Grill. He said the planners
included undercover Memphis Police Department officer Marrell
McCollough (who now works for the Central Intelligence Agency, and who
is referenced in the trial transcript as Merrell McCullough), MPD
Lieutentant Earl Clark (who died in 1987), a third police officer, and
two men Jowers did not know but thought were federal agents.

Young,
who witnessed the assassination, can be heard on the tape identifying
McCollough as the man kneeling beside King’s body on the balcony in a
famous photograph. According to witness Colby Vernon Smith, McCollough
had infiltrated a Memphis community organizing group, the Invaders,
which was working with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. In
his trial testimony Young said the MPD intelligence agent was “the guy
who ran up [the balcony stairs] with us to see Martin.”

Jowers
says on the tape that right after the shot was fired he received a
smoking rifle at the rear door of Jim’s Grill from Clark. He broke the
rifle down into two pieces and wrapped it in a tablecloth. Raul picked
it up the next day. Jowers said he didn’t actually see who fired the
shot that killed King, but thought it was Clark, the MPD’s best
marksman.

Young
testified that his impression from the 1998 meeting was that the aging,
ailing Jowers “wanted to get right with God before he died, wanted to
confess it and be free of it.” Jowers denied, however, that he knew the
plot’s purpose was to kill King — a claim that seemed implausible to
Dexter King and Young. Jowers has continued to fear jail, and he had
directed Garrison to defend him on the grounds that he didn’t know the
target of the plot was King. But his interview with Donaldson suggests
he was not naïve on this point.

Loyd Jowers’s story opened the door to testimony that explored the systemic nature of the murder in seven other basic areas:

background to the assassination;
local conspiracy;

the crime scene;
the rifle;
Raul;
broader conspiracy;

cover-up.

James Lawson, King’s friend and an organizer with SCLC,
testified that King’s stands on Vietnam and the Poor People’s Campaign
had created enemies in Washington. He said King’s speech at New York’s Riverside Church
on April 4, 1967, which condemned the Vietnam War and identified the
U.S. government as “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world
today,” provoked intense hostility in the White House and FBI.

Hatred
and fear of King deepened, Lawson said, in response to his plan to hold
the Poor People’s Campaign in Washington, D.C. King wanted to shut down
the nation’s capital in the spring of 1968 through massive civil
disobedience until the government agreed to abolish poverty. King saw
the Memphis sanitation workers’ strike as the beginning of a nonviolent
revolution that would redistribute income.

“I have no doubt,” Lawson said, “that the government viewed all this seriously enough to plan his assassination.”

Coretta
Scott King testified that her husband had to return to Memphis in early
April 1968 because of a violent demonstration there for which he had
been blamed. Moments after King arrived in Memphis to join the
sanitation workers’ march there on March 28, 1968, the scene turned
violent — subverted by government provocateurs, Lawson said. Thus King
had to return to Memphis on April 3 and prepare for a truly nonviolent
march, Mrs. King said, to prove SCLC could still carry out a nonviolent
campaign in Washington.

On the night of April 3, 1968, Floyd E. Newsum, a black
firefighter and civil rights activist, heard King’s “I’ve Been to the
Mountain Top” speech at the Mason Temple in Memphis. On his return home,
Newsum returned a phone call from his lieutenant and was told he had
been temporarily transferred, effective April 4, from Fire Station 2,
located across the street from the Lorraine Motel, to Fire Station 31.
Newsum testified that he was not needed at the new station. However, he
was needed at his old station because his departure left it “out of
service unless somebody else was detailed to my company in my stead.”
After making many queries, Newsum was eventually told he had been
transferred by request of the police department.

The
only other black firefighter at Fire Station 2, Norvell E. Wallace,
testified that he, too, received orders from his superior officer on the
night of April 3 for a temporary transfer to a fire station far removed
from the Lorraine Motel. He was later told vaguely that he had been
threatened.

Wallace
guessed it was because “I was putting out fires,” he told the jury with
a smile. Asked if he ever received a satisfactory explanation for his
transfer Wallace answered, “No. Never did. Not to this day.”

In the March-April Probe,
Mike Vinson described the similar removal of Ed Redditt, a black
Memphis Police Department detective, from his Fire Station 2
surveillance post two hours before King’s murder.

To
understand the Redditt incident, it is important to note that it was
Redditt himself who initiated his watch on Dr. King from the firehouse
across the street. Redditt testified that when King’s party and the
police accompanying them (including Detective Redditt) arrived from the
airport at the Lorraine Motel on April 3, he “noticed something that was
unusual.” When Inspector Don Smith, who was in charge of security, told
Redditt he could leave, Redditt “noticed there was nobody else there.
In the past when we were assigned to Dr. King [when Redditt had been
part of a black security team for King], we stayed with him. I saw
nobody with him. So I went across the street and asked the Fire
Department could we come in and observe from the rear, which we did.”
Given Redditt’s concerns for King’s safety, his particular watch on the
Lorraine may not have fit into others’ plans.

Redditt
testified that late in the afternoon of April 4, MPD Intelligence
Officer Eli Arkin came to Fire Station 2 to take him to Central
Headquarters. There Police and Fire Director Frank Holloman (formerly an
FBI agent for 25 years, seven of them as supervisor of J. Edgar
Hoover’s office) ordered Redditt home, against his wishes and
accompanied by Arkin. The reason Holloman gave Redditt for his removal
from the King watch Redditt had initiated the day before was that his
life had been threatened.

In
an interview after the trial, Redditt told me the story of how his 1978
testimony on this question before the House Select Committee on
Assassinations was part of a heavily pressured cover-up. “It was a
farce,” he said, “a total farce.”

Redditt
had been subpoenaed by the HSCA to testify, as he came to realize, not
so much on his strange removal from Fire Station 2 as the fact that he
had spoken about it openly to writers and researchers. The HSCA focused
narrowly on the discrepancy between Redditt’s surveiling King (as he was
doing) and acting as security (an impression Redditt had given writers
interviewing him) in order to discredit the story of his removal.
Redditt was first grilled by the committee for eight straight hours in a
closed executive session. After a day of hostile questioning, Redditt
finally said late in the afternoon, “I came here as a friend of the
investigation, not as an enemy of the investigation. You don’t want to
deal with the truth.” He told the committee angrily that if the secret
purpose behind the King conspiracy was, like the JFK conspiracy, “to
protect the country, just tell the American people! They’ll be happy!
And quit fooling the folks and trying to pull the wool over their eyes.”

When
the closed hearing was over, Redditt received a warning call from a
friend in the White House who said, “Man, your life isn’t worth a wooden
nickel.”

Redditt
said his public testimony the next day “was a set-up”: “The bottom line
on that one was that Senator Baker decided that I wouldn’t go into this
open hearing without an attorney. When the lawyer and I arrived at the
hearing, we were ushered right back out across town to the executive
director in charge of the investigation. [We] looked through a book, to
look at the questions and answers.”

“So
in essence what they were saying was: `This is what you’re going to
answer to, and this is how you’re going to answer.’ It was all made up
— all designed, questions and answers, what to say and what not to say.
A total farce.”

Former
MPD Captain Jerry Williams followed Redditt to the witness stand.
Williams had been responsible for forming a special security unit of
black officers whenever King came to Memphis (the unit Redditt had
served on earlier). Williams took pride in providing the best possible
protection for Dr. King, which included, he said, advising him never to
stay at the Lorraine “because we couldn’t furnish proper security
there.” (“It was just an open view,” he explained to me later, “Anybody
could . . . There was no protection at all. To me that was a set-up from
the very beginning.”)

Hatred and
fear of King deepened, Lawson said, in response to his plan to hold the
Poor People’s Campaign in Washington, D.C. King wanted to shut down the
nation’s capital in the spring of 1968 through massive civil
disobedience until the government agreed to abolish poverty. King saw
the Memphis sanitation workers’ strike as the beginning of a nonviolent
revolution that would redistribute income. “I have no doubt,” Lawson
said, “that the government viewed all this seriously enough to plan his
assassination.”

For
King’s April 3, 1968 arrival, however, Williams was for some reason not
asked to form the special black bodyguard. He was told years later by
his inspector (a man whom Jowers identified as a participant in the
planning meetings at Jim’s Grill) that the change occurred because
somebody in King’s entourage had asked specifically for no black
security officers. Williams told the jury he was bothered by the
omission “even to this day.”

Leon
Cohen, a retired New York City police officer, testified that in 1968
he had become friendly with the Lorraine Motel’s owner and manager,
Walter Bailey (now deceased). On the morning after King’s murder, Cohen
spoke with a visibly upset Bailey outside his office at the Lorraine.
Bailey told Cohen about a strange request that had forced him to change
King’s room to the location where he was shot.

Bailey
explained that the night before King’s arrival he had received a call
“from a member of Dr. King’s group in Atlanta.” The caller (whom Bailey
said he knew but referred to only by the pronoun “he”) wanted the motel
owner to change King’s room. Bailey said he was adamantly opposed to
moving King, as instructed, from an inner court room behind the motel
office (which had better security) to an outside balcony room exposed to
public view.

“If they had listened to me,” Bailey said, “this wouldn’t have happened.”

Philip Melanson, author of the Martin Luther King Assassination (1991),
described his investigation into the April 4 pullback of four tactical
police units that had been patrolling the immediate vicinity of the
Lorraine Motel. Melanson asked MPD Inspector Sam Evans (now deceased),
commander of the units, why they were pulled back the morning of April
4, in effect making an assassin’s escape much easier. Evans said he gave
the order at the request of a local pastor connected with King’s party,
Rev. Samuel Kyles. (Melanson wrote in his book that Kyles emphatically
denied making any such request.) Melanson said the idea that MPD
security would be determined at such a time by a local pastor’s request
made no sense whatsoever.

Olivia
Catling lived a block away from the Lorraine on Mulberry Street.
Catling had planned to walk down the street the evening of April 4 in
the hope of catching a glimpse of King at the motel. She testified that
when she heard the shot a little after six o’clock, she said, “Oh, my
God, Dr. King is at that hotel!” She ran with her two children to the
corner of Mulberry and Huling streets, just north of the Lorraine. She
saw a man in a checkered shirt come running out of the alley beside a
building across from the Lorraine. The man jumped into a green 1965
Chevrolet just as a police car drove up behind him. He gunned the
Chevrolet around the corner and up Mulberry past Catling’s house moving
her to exclaim, “It’s going to take us six months to pay for the rubber
he’s burning up!!” The police, she said, ignored the man and blocked off
a street, leaving his car free to go the opposite way.

I
visited Catling in her home, and she told me the man she had seen
running was not James Earl Ray. “I will go into my grave saying that was
not Ray, because the gentleman I saw was heavier than Ray.”

“The
police,” she told me, “asked not one neighbor [around the Lorraine],
`What did you see?’ Thirty-one years went by. Nobody came and asked one
question. I often thought about that. I even had nightmares over that,
because they never said anything. How did they let him get away?”

Catling
also testified that from her vantage point on the corner of Mulberry
and Huling she could see a fireman standing alone across from the motel
when the police drove up. She heard him say to the police, “The shot
came from that clump of bushes,” indicating the heavily overgrown brushy
area facing the Lorraine and adjacent to Fire Station 2.

Earl Caldwell was a New York Times reporter in his room
at the Lorraine Motel the evening of April 4. In videotaped testimony,
Caldwell said he heard what he thought was a bomb blast at 6:00 p.m.
When he ran to the door and looked out, he saw a man crouched in the
heavy part of the bushes across the street. The man was looking over at
the Lorraine’s balcony. Caldwell wrote an article about the figure in
the bushes but was never questioned about what he had seen by any
authorities.

In
a 1993 affidavit from former SCLC official James Orange that was read
into the record, Orange said that on April 4, “James Bevel and I were
driven around by Marrell McCollough, a person who at that time we knew
to be a member of the Invaders, a local community organizing group, and
who we subsequently learned was an undercover agent for the Memphis
Police Department and who now works for the Central Intelligence Agency .
. . [After the shot, when Orange saw Dr. King’s leg dangling over the
balcony], I looked back and saw the smoke. It couldn’t have been more
than five to ten seconds. The smoke came out of the brush area on the
opposite side of the street from the Lorraine Motel. I saw it rise up
from the bushes over there. From that day to this time I have never had
any doubt that the fatal shot, the bullet which ended Dr. King’s life,
was fired by a sniper concealed in the brush area behind the derelict
buildings.

“I
also remember then turning my attention back to the balcony and seeing
Marrell McCollough up on the balcony kneeling over Dr. King, looking as
though he was checking Dr. King for life signs.

“I
also noticed, quite early the next morning around 8 or 9 o’clock, that
all of the bushes and brush on the hill were cut down and cleaned up. It
was as though the entire area of the bushes from behind the rooming
house had been cleared . . .

“I will always remember the puff of white smoke and the cut brush and having never been given a satisfactory explanation.

“When I tried to tell the police at the scene as best I saw they told me to be quiet and to get out of the way.

“I was never interviewed or asked what I saw by any law enforcement authority in all of the time since 1968.”

Also
read into the record were depositions made by Solomon Jones to the FBI
and to the Memphis police. Jones was King’s chauffeur in Memphis. The
FBI document, dated April 13, 1968, says that after King was shot, when
Jones looked across Mulberry Street into the brushy area, “he got a
quick glimpse of a person with his back toward Mulberry Street. . . .
This person was moving rather fast, and he recalls that he believed he
was wearing some sort of light-colored jacket with some sort of a hood
or parka.” In his 11:30 p.m., April 4, 1968 police interview, Jones
provides the same basic information concerning a person leaving the
brushy area hurriedly.

Maynard
Stiles, who in 1968 was a senior official in the Memphis Sanitation
Department, confirmed in his testimony that the bushes near the rooming
house were cut down. At about 7:00 a.m. on April 5, Stiles told the
jury, he received a call from MPD Inspector Sam Evans “requesting
assistance in clearing brush and debris from a vacant lot in the
vicinity of the assassination.” Stiles called another superintendent of
sanitation, who assembled a crew. “They went to that site, and under the
direction of the police department, whoever was in charge there,
proceeded with the clean-up in a slow, methodical, meticulous manner.”
Stiles identified the site as an area overgrown with brush and bushes
across from the Lorraine Motel.

Within
hours of King’s assassination, the crime scene that witnesses were
identifying to the Memphis police as a cover for the shooter had been
sanitized by orders of the police.

Probe readers will again recall from Mike Vinson’s
article three key witnesses in the Memphis trial who offered evidence
counter to James Earl Ray’s rifle being the murder weapon:
Judge Joe Brown;
Judge Arthur Hanes Jr.;
William Hamblin.

Judge Joe Brown, who had presided over two years of hearings
on the rifle, testified that “67% of the bullets from my tests did not
match the Ray rifle.” He added that the unfired bullets found wrapped
with it in a blanket were metallurgically different from the bullet
taken from King’s body, and therefore were from a different lot of
ammunition. And because the rifle’s scope had not been sited, Brown
said, “this weapon literally could not have hit the broad side of a
barn.” Holding up the 30.06 Remington 760 Gamemaster rifle, Judge Brown
told the jury, “It is my opinion that this is not the murder weapon.”
Circuit Court Judge Arthur Hanes Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama,
had been Ray’s attorney in 1968. (On the eve of his trial, Ray replaced
Hanes and his father, Arthur Hanes Sr., by Percy Foreman, a decision Ray
told the Haneses one week later was the biggest mistake of his life.)
Hanes testified that in the summer of 1968 he interviewed Guy Canipe,
owner of the Canipe Amusement Company. Canipe was a witness to the
dropping in his doorway of a bundle that held a trove of James Earl Ray
memorabilia, including the rifle, unfired bullets, and a radio with
Ray’s prison identification number on it. This dropped bundle, heaven
(or otherwise) sent for the State’s case against Ray, can be accepted as
credible evidence through a willing suspension of disbelief. As Judge
Hanes summarized the State’s lone-assassin theory (with reference to an
exhibit depicting the scene), “James Earl Ray had fired the shot from
the bathroom on that second floor, come down that hallway into his room
and carefully packed that box, tied it up, then had proceeded across the
walkway the length of the building to the back where that stair from
that door came up, had come down the stairs out the door, placed the
Browning box containing the rifle and the radio there in the Canipe
entryway.” Then Ray presumably got in his car seconds before the
police’s arrival, driving from downtown Memphis to Atlanta unchallenged
in his white Mustang.

Concerning
his interview with the witness who was the cornerstone of this theory,
Judge Hanes told the jury that Guy Canipe (now deceased) provided
“terrific evidence”: “He said that the package was dropped in his
doorway by a man headed south down Main Street on foot, and that this
happened at about ten minutes before the shot was fired [emphasis added].”

Hanes
thought Canipe’s witnessing the bundle-dropping ten minutes before the
shot was very credible for another reason. It so happened (as confirmed
by Philip Melanson’s research) that at 6:00 p.m. one of the MPD tactical
units that had been withdrawn earlier by Inspector Evans, TACT 10, had
returned briefly to the area with its 16 officers for a rest break at
Fire Station 2. Thus, as Hanes testified, with the firehouse brimming
with police, some already watching King across the street, “when they
saw Dr. King go down, the fire house erupted like a beehive . . . In
addition to the time involved [in Ray’s presumed odyssey from the
bathroom to the car], it was circumstantially almost impossible to
believe that somebody had been able to throw that [rifle] down and
leaave right in the face of that erupting fire station.”

When
I spoke with Judge Hanes after the trial about the startling evidence
he had received from Canipe, he commented, “That’s what I’ve been saying
for 30 years.”
William Hamblin testified not about the rifle thrown down in
the Canipe doorway but rather the smoking rifle Loyd Jowers said he
received at his back door from Earl Clark right after the shooting.
Hamblin recounted a story he was told many times by his friend James
McCraw, who had died.

James
McCraw is already well-known to researchers as the taxi driver who
arrived at the rooming house to pick up Charlie Stephens shortly before
6:00 p.m. on April 4. In a deposition read earlier to the jury, McCraw
said he found Stephens in his room lying on his bed too drunk to get up,
so McCraw turned out the light and left without him — minutes before
Stephens, according to the State, identified Ray in profile passing down
the hall from the bathroom. McCraw also said the bathroom door next to
Stephen’s room was standing wide open, and there was no one in the
bathroom — where again, according to the State, Ray was then balancing
on the tub, about to squeeze the trigger.

William
Hamblin told the jury that he and fellow cab-driver McCraw were close
friends for about 25 years. Hamblin said he probably heard McCraw tell
the same rifle story 50 times, but only when McCraw had been drinking
and had his defenses down.

In
that story, McCraw said that Loyd Jowers had given him the rifle right
after the shooting. According to Hamblin, “Jowers told him to get the
[rifle] and get it out of here now. [McCraw] said that he grabbed his
beer and snatched it out. He had the rifle rolled up in an oil cloth,
and he leapt out the door and did away with it.” McCraw told Hamblin he
threw the rifle off a bridge into the Mississippi River.

Hamblin
said McCraw never revealed publicly what he knew of the rifle because,
like Jowers, he was afraid of being indicted: “He really wanted to come
out with it, but he was involved in it. And he couldn’t really tell the
truth.”

William
Pepper accepted Hamblin’s testimony about McCraw’s disposal of the
rifle over Jowers’s claim to Dexter King that he gave the rifle to Raul.
Pepper said in his closing argument that the actual murder weapon had
been lying “at the bottom of the Mississippi River for over thirty-one
years.”

Maynard
Stiles, who in 1968 was a senior official in the Memphis Sanitation
Department, confirmed in his testimony that the bushes near the rooming
house were cut down. At about 7:00 a.m. on April 5, Stiles told the
jury, he received a call from MPD Inspector Sam Evans “requesting
assistance in clearing brush and debris from a vacant lot in the
vicinity of the assassination. . . . They went to that site, and under
the direction of the police department, whoever was in charge there,
proceeded with the clean-up in a slow, methodical, meticulous manner.” .
. . Within hours of King’s assassination, the crime scene that
witnesses were identifying to the Memphis police as a cover for the
shooter had been sanitized by orders of the police.

One of the most significant developments in the Memphis trial
was the emergence of the mysterious Raul through the testimony of a
series of witnesses.

In
a 1995 deposition by James Earl Ray that was read to the jury, Ray told
of meeting Raul in Montreal in the summer of 1967, three months after
Ray had escaped from a Missouri prison. According to Ray, Raul guided
Ray’s movements, gave him money for the Mustang car and the rifle, and
used both to set him up in Memphis.

Andrew
Young and Dexter King described their meeting with Jowers and Pepper at
which Pepper had shown Jowers a spread of photographs, and Jowers
picked out one as the person named Raul who brought him the rifle to
hold at Jim’s Grill. Pepper displayed the same spread of photos in
court, and Young and King pointed out the photo Jowers had identified as
Raul. (Private investigator John Billings said in separate testimony
that this picture was a passport photograph from 1961, when Raul had
immigrated from Portugal to the U.S.)

The
additional witnesses who identified the photo as Raul’s included:
British merchant seaman Sidney Carthew, who in a videotaped deposition
from England said he had met Raul (who offered to sell him guns) and a
man he thinks was Ray (who wanted to be smuggled onto his ship) in
Montreal in the summer of 1967; Glenda and Roy Grabow, who recognized
Raul as a gunrunner they knew in Houston in the `60s and `70s and who
told Glenda in a rage that he had killed Martin Luther King; Royce
Wilburn, Glenda’s brother, who also knew Raul in Houston; and British
television producer Jack Saltman, who had obtained the passport photo
and showed it to Ray in prison, who identified it as the photo of the
person who had guided him.

Saltman
and Pepper, working on independent investigations, located Raul in
1995. He was living quietly with his family in the northeastern U.S. It
was there in 1997 that journalist Barbara Reis of the Lisbon Publico,
working on a story about Raul, spoke with a member of his family. Reis
testified that she had spoken in Portuguese to a woman in Raul’s family
who, after first denying any connection to Ray’s Raul, said “they” had
visited them. “Who?” Reis asked. “The government,” said the woman. She
said government agents had visited them three times over a three-year
period. The government, she said, was watching over them and monitoring
their phone calls. The woman took comfort and satisfaction in the fact
that her family (so she believed) was being protected by the government.

In
his closing argument Pepper said of Raul: “Now, as I understand it, the
defense had invited Raul to appear here. He is outside this
jurisdiction, so a subpoena would be futile. But he was asked to appear
here. In earlier proceedings there were attempts to depose him, and he
resisted them. So he has not attempted to come forward at all and tell
his side of the story or to defend himself.”

Carthel Weeden, captain of Fire Station 2 in 1968, testified
that he was on duty the morning of April 4 when two U.S. Army officers
approached him. The officers said they wanted a lookout for the Lorraine
Motel. Weeden said they carried briefcases and indicated they had
cameras. Weeden showed the officers to the roof of the fire station. He
left them at the edge of its northeast corner behind a parapet wall.
From there the Army officers had a bird’s-eye view of Dr. King’s balcony
doorway and could also look down on the brushy area adjacent to the
fire station.

The
testimony of writer Douglas Valentine filled in the background of the
men Carthel Weeden had taken up to the roof of Fire Station 2. While
Valentine was researching his book The Phoenix Program (1990), on
the CIA’s notorious counterintelligence program against Vietnamese
villagers, he talked with veterans in military intelligence who had been
re-deployed from the Vietnam War to the sixties antiwar movement. They
told him that in 1968 the Army’s 111th Military Intelligence Group kept
Martin Luther King under 24-hour-a-day surveillance. Its agents were in
Memphis April 4. As Valentine wrote in The Phoenix Program, they “reportedly watched and took photos while King’s assassin moved into position, took aim, fired, and walked away.”

Testimony
which juror David Morphy later described as “awesome” was that of
former CIA operative Jack Terrell, a whistle-blower in the Iran-Contra
scandal. Terrell, who was dying of liver cancer in Florida, testified by
videotape that his close friend J.D. Hill had confessed to him that he
had been a member of an Army sniper team in Memphis assigned to shoot
“an unknown target” on April 4. After training for a triangular
shooting, the snipers were on their way into Memphis to take up
positions in a watertower and two buildings when their mission was
suddenly cancelled. Hill said he realized, when he learned of King’s
assassination the next day, that the team must have been part of a
contingency plan to kill King if another shooter failed.

Terrell
said J.D. Hill was shot to death. His wife was charged with shooting
Hill (in response to his drinking), but she was not indicted. From the
details of Hill’s death, Terrell thought the story about Hill’s wife
shooting him was a cover, and that his friend had been assassinated. In
an interview, Terrell said the CIA’s heavy censorship of his book Disposable Patriot (1992) included changing the paragraph on J.D. Hill’s death, so that it read as if Terrell thought Hill’s wife was responsible.

Walter Fauntroy, Dr. King’s colleague and a 20-year member of
Congress, chaired the subcommittee of the 1976-78 House Select Committee
on Assassinations that investigated King’s assassination. Fauntroy
testified in Memphis that in the course of the HSCA investigation “it
was apparent that we were dealing with very sophisticated forces.” He
discovered electronic bugs on his phone and TV set. When Richard
Sprague, HSCA’s first chief investigator, said he would make available
all CIA, FBI, and military intelligence records, he became a focus of
controversy. Sprague was forced to resign. His successor made no demands
on U.S. intelligence agencies. Such pressures contributed to the
subcommittee’s ending its investigation, as Fauntroy said, “without
having thoroughly investigated all of the evidence that was apparent.”
Its formal conclusion was that Ray assassinated King, that he probably
had help, and that the government was not involved.

When
I interviewed Fauntroy in a van on his way back to the Memphis Airport,
I asked about the implications of his statements in an April 4, 1997 Atlanta Constitution
article. The article said Fauntroy now believed “Ray did not fire the
shot that killed King and was part of a larger conspiracy that possibly
involved federal law enforcement agencies, ” and added: “Fauntroy said
he kept silent about his suspicions because of fear for himself and his
family.”

Fauntroy
told me that when he left Congress in 1991 he had the opportunity to
read through his files on the King assassination, including raw
materials that he’d never seen before. Among them was information from
J. Edgar Hoover’s logs. There he learned that in the three weeks before
King’s murder the FBI chief held a series of meetings with “persons
involved with the CIA and military intelligence in the Phoenix operation
in Southeast Asia.” Why? Fauntroy also discovered there had been Green
Berets and military intelligence agents in Memphis when King was killed.
“What were they doing there?” he asked.

When
Fauntroy had talked about his decision to write a book about what he’d
“uncovered since the assassination committee closed down,” he was
promptly investigated and charged by the Justice Department with having
violated his financial reports as a member of Congress. His lawyer told
him that he could not understand why the Justice Department would bring
up a charge on the technicality of one misdated check. Fauntroy said he
interpreted the Justice Department’s action to mean: “Look, we’ll get
you on something if you continue this way. . . . I just thought: I’ll
tell them I won’t go and finish the book, because it’s surely not worth
it.”

At
the conclusion of his trial testimony, Fauntroy also spoke about his
fear of an FBI attempt to kill James Earl Ray when he escaped from
Tennessee’s Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in June 1977. Congressman
Fauntroy had heard reports about an FBI SWAT team having been sent into
the area around the prison to shoot Ray and prevent his testifying at
the HSCA hearings. Fauntroy asked HSCA chair Louis Stokes to alert
Tennesssee Governor Ray Blanton to the danger to the HSCA’s star witness
and Blanton’s most famous prisoner. When Stokes did, Blanton called off
the FBI SWAT team, Ray was caught safely by local authorities, and in
Fauntroy’s words, “we all breathed a sigh of relief.”

The
Memphis jury also learned how a 1993-98 Tennessee State investigation
into the King assassination was, if not a cover-up, then an inquiry
noteworthy for its lack of witnesses. Lewis Garrison had subpoenaed the
head of the investigation, Mark Glankler, in an effort to discover
evidence helpful to Jowers’s defense. William Pepper then cross-examined
Glankler on the witnesses he had interviewed in his investigation:

Q. (BY MR. PEPPER) Mr. Glankler, did you interview Mr. Maynard Stiles, whose testifying —

A. I know the name, Counselor, but I don’t think I took a statement from Maynard Stiles or interviewed him. I don’t think I did.

Q. Did you ever interview Mr. Floyd Newsum?

A. Can you help me with what he does?

Q. Yes. He was a black fireman who was assigned to Station Number 2.

A. I don’t recall the name, Counsel.

Q. All right. Ever interview Mr. Norvell Wallace?

A. I don’t recall that name offhand either.

Q. Ever interview Captain Jerry Williams?

A. Fireman also?

Q. Jerry Williams was a policeman. He was a homicide detective.

A. No, sir, I don’t — I really don’t recall that name.

Q. Fair enough. Did you ever interview Mr. Charles Hurley, a private citizen?

A. Does he have a wife named Peggy?

Q. Yes.

A. I think we did talk with a Peggy Hurley or attempted to.

Q. Did you interview a Mr. Leon Cohen?

A. I just don’t recall without —

Q. Did you ever interview Mr. James McCraw?

A. I believe we did. He talks with a device?

Q. Yes, the voice box..

A. Yes, okay. I believe we did talk to him, yes, sir.

Q. How about Mrs. Olivia Catling, who has testified —

A. I’m sorry, the last name again.

Q. Catling, C A T L I N G.

A. No, sir, that name doesn’t —

Q. Did you ever interview Ambassador Andrew Young?

A. No, sir.

Q. You didn’t?

A. No, sir, not that I recall.

Q. Did you ever interview Judge Arthur Hanes?

A. No, sir.
So
it goes — downhill. The above is Glankler’s high-water mark: He got
two out of the first ten (if one counts Charles and Peggy Hurley as a
yes). Pepper questioned Glankler about 25 key witnesses. The jury was
familiar with all of them from prior testimony in the trial. Glankler
could recall his office interviewing a total of three. At the
twenty-fifth-named witness, Earl Caldwell, Pepper finally let Glankler
go:

Q. Did you ever interview a former New York Times journalist, a New York Daily News correspondent named Earl Caldwell?

A. Earl Caldwell? Not that I recall.

Q. You never interviewed him in the course of your investigation?

A. I just don’t recall that name.

MR. PEPPER: I have no further comments about this investigation — no further questions for this investigator.

Pepper
went a step beyond saying government agencies were responsible for the
assassination. To whom in turn were those murderous agencies
responsible? Not so much to government officials per se, Pepper
asserted, as to the economic powerholders they represented who stood in
the even deeper shadows behind the FBI, Army Intelligence, and their
affiliates in covert action. By 1968, Pepper told the jury, “And today
it is much worse in my view” — “the decision-making processes in the
United States were the representatives, the footsoldiers of the very
economic interests that were going to suffer as a result of these times
of changes [being actived by King].”

To say that
U.S. government agencies killed Martin Luther King on the verge of the
Poor People’s Campaign is a way into the deeper truth that the economic
powers that be (which dictate the policies of those agencies) killed
him. In the Memphis prelude to the Washington campaign, King posed a
threat to those powers of a non-violent revolutionary force. Just how
determined they were to stop him before he reached Washington was
revealed in the trial by the size and complexity of the plot to kill
him.

The vision behind the trial

In his sprawling, brilliant work that underlies the trial, Orders to Kill
(1995), William Pepper introduced readers to most of the 70 witnesses
who took the stand in Memphis or were cited by deposition, tape, and
other witnesses. To keep this article from reading like either an
encyclopedia or a Dostoevsky novel, I have highlighted only a few.
(Thanks to the King Center, the full trial trascript is available online at http://www.thekingcenter.com/tkc/trial.html.)
What Pepper’s work has accomplished in print and in court can be
measured by the intensity of the media attacks on him, shades of Jim
Garrison. But even Garrison did not gain the support of the Kennedy
family (in his case) or achieve a guilty verdict. The Memphis trial has
opened wide a door to our assassination politics. Anyone who walks
through it is faced by an either/or: to declare naked either the empire
or oneself.

The
King family has chosen the former. The vision behind the trial is at
least as much theirs as it is William Pepper’s, for ultimately it is the
vision of Martin Luther King Jr. Coretta King explained to the jury her
family’s purpose in pursuing the lawsuit against Jowers: “This is not
about money. We’re concerned about the truth, having the truth come out
in a court of law so that it can be documented for all. I’ve always felt
that somehow the truth would be known, and I hoped that I would live to
see it. It is important I think for the sake of healing so many people
— my family, other people, the nation.”

Dexter King, the plaintiffs’ final witness, said the trial was about why his
father had been killed: “From a holistic side, in terms of the people,
in terms of the masses, yes, it has to be dealt with because it is not
about who killed Martin Luther King Jr., my father. It is not
necessarily about all of those details. It is about: Why was he
killed? Because if you answer the why, you will understand the same
things are still happening. Until we address that, we’re all in trouble.
Because if it could happen to him, if it can happen to this family, it
can happen to anybody.

“It
is so amazing for me that as soon as this issue of potential
involvement of the federal government came up, all of a sudden the media
just went totally negative against the family. I couldn’t understand
that. I kept asking my mother, `What is going on?’

“She
reminded me. She said, `Dexter, your dad and I have lived through this
once already. You have to understand that when you take a stand against
the establishment, first, you will be attacked. There is an attempt to
discredit. Second, [an attempt] to try and character-assassinate. And
third, ultimately physical termination or assassination.’

“Now
the truth of the matter is if my father had stopped and not spoken out,
if he had just somehow compromised, he would probably still be here
with us today. But the minute you start talking about redistribution of
wealth and stopping a major conflict, which also has economic
ramifications . . . “

In
his closing argument, William Pepper identified economic power as the
root reason for King’s assassination: “When Martin King opposed the war,
when he rallied people to oppose the war, he was threatening the bottom
lines of some of the largest defense contractors in this country. This
was about money. He was threatening the weapons industry, the hardware,
the armaments industries, that would all lose as a result of the end of
the war.

“The
second aspect of his work that also dealt with money that caused a
great deal of consternation in the circles of power in this land had to
do with his commitment to take a massive group of people to Washington. .
. . Now he began to talk about a redistribution of wealth, in this the
wealthiest country in the world.”

Pepper
went a step beyond saying government agencies were responsible for the
assassination.

To
say that U.S. government agencies killed Martin Luther King on the
verge of the Poor People’s Campaign is a way into the deeper truth that
the economic powers that be (which dictate the policies of those
agencies) killed him. In the Memphis prelude to the Washington campaign,
King posed a threat to those powers of a non-violent revolutionary
force. Just how determined they were to stop him before he reached
Washington was revealed in the trial by the size and complexity of the
plot to kill him.

Dexter
King testified to the truth of his father’s death with transforming
clarity: “If what you are saying goes against what certain people
believe you should be saying, you will be dealt with — maybe not the
way you are dealt with in China, which is overtly. But you will be dealt
with covertly. The result is the same.

“We
are talking about a political assassination in modern-day times, a
domestic political assassination. Of course, it is ironic, but I was
watching a special on the CIA. They say, `Yes, we’ve participated in
assassinations abroad but, no, we could never do anything like that
domestically.’ Well, I don’t know. . . . Whether you call it CIA or some
other innocuous acronym or agency, killing is killing.

“The
issue becomes: What do we do about this? Do we endorse a policy in this
country, in this life, that says if we don’t agree with someone, the
only means to deal with it is through elimination and termination? I
think my father taught us the opposite, that you can overcome without
violence.

“We’re
not in this to make heads roll. We’re in this to use the teachings that
my father taught us in terms of nonviolent reconciliation. It works. We
know that it works. So we’re not looking to put people in prison. What
we’re looking to do is get the truth out so that this nation can learn
and know officially. If the family of the victim, if we’re saying we’re
willing to forgive and embark upon a process that allows for
reconciliation, why can’t others?”

When
pressed by Pepper to name a specific amount of damages for the death of
his father, Dexter King said, “One hundred dollars.”

The Verdict

The
jury returned with a verdict after two and one-half hours. Judge James
E. Swearengen of Shelby County Circuit Court, a gentle African-American
man in his last few days before retirement, read the verdict aloud. The
courtroom was now crowded with spectators, almost all black.

“In
answer to the question, `Did Loyd Jowers participate in a conspiracy to
do harm to Dr. Martin Luther King?’ your answer is `Yes.'” The man on
my left leaned forward and whispered softly, “Thank you, Jesus.”

The
judge continued: “Do you also find that others, including governmental
agencies, were parties to this conspiracy as alleged by the defendant?’
Your answer to that one is also `Yes.'” An even more heartfelt whisper:
“Thank you, Jesus!”

Perhaps
the lesson of the King assassination is that our government understands
the power of nonviolence better than we do, or better than we want to.
In the spring of 1968, when Martin King was marching (and Robert Kennedy
was campaigning), King was determined that massive, nonviolent civil
disobedience would end the domination of democracy by corporate and
military power. The powers that be took Martin Luther King seriously.
They dealt with him in Memphis.

Thirty-two years
after Memphis, we know that the government that now honors Dr. King
with a national holiday also killed him. As will once again become
evident when the Justice Department releases the findings of its
“limited re-investigation” into King’s death, the government (as a
footsoldier of corporate power) is continuing its cover-up — just as it
continues to do in the closely related murders of John and Robert
Kennedy and Malcolm X.

David
Morphy, the only juror to grant an interview, said later: “We can look
back on it and say that we did change history. But that’s not why we did
it. It was because there was an overwhelming amount of evidence and
just too many odd coincidences.

“Everything
from the police department being pulled back, to the death threat on
Redditt, to the two black firefighters being pulled off, to the military
people going up on top of the fire station, even to them going back to
that point and cutting down the trees. Who in their right mind would go
and destroy a crime scene like that the morning after? It was just very,
very odd.”

I
drove the few blocks to the house on Mulberry Street, one block north
of the Lorraine Motel (now the National Civil Rights Museum). When I
rapped loudly on Olivia Catling’s security door, she was several minutes
in coming. She said she’d had the flu. I told her the jury’s verdict,
and she smiled. “So I can sleep now. For years I could still hear that
shot. After 31 years, my mind is at ease. So I can sleep now, knowing
that some kind of peace has been brought to the King family. And that’s
the best part about it.”

Perhaps
the lesson of the King assassination is that our government understands
the power of nonviolence better than we do, or better than we want to.

Thirty-two
years after Memphis, we know that the government that now honors Dr.
King with a national holiday also killed him.

The
faithful in a nonviolent movement that hopes to change the distribution
of wealth and power in the U.S.A. — as Dr. King’s vision, if made
real, would have done in 1968 — should be willing to receive the same
kind of reward that King did in Memphis. As each of our religious
traditions has affirmed from the beginning, that recurring story of
martyrdom (“witness”) is one of ultimate transformation and cosmic good
news

Pope Francis Delivers Easter Mass – President Obama in Cuba and Argintina – Truth About Easter – The Truth About Origin of Christianity

Story image for pope easter mass from The Inquisitr

Pope Francis preached an Easter
message of hope after a grim week in Europe, calling on Christians not
to let fear and pessimism “imprison” them.

Speaking amid tight
security at the Vatican, the Pope said: “Let us not allow darkness and
fear to distract us and control our hearts.”

His message followed a condemnation on Friday of the Brussels terror attacks.

Islamist violence is expected to be a prominent theme of his traditional “Urbi et Orbi” Easter message.

Many
pilgrims cancelled their planned trips to Rome in the wake of the
violence in Brussels, but St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican was packed
when Pope Francis celebrated mass on Saturday evening.

The Pontiff
entered a darkened basilica with just a single candle guiding him. As
he reached the altar, the basilica’s floodlights came on to symbolise
the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Delivering his homily, Francis said: “Today is the celebration of our hope. It is so necessary today.”continue reading

Obama lands in Cuba as first US president to visit in nearly 90 years

Barack Obama
descended on Cuba with a pomp unmatched by the Pope on Sunday, becoming
the first American president to visit Cuba in nearly a century, and the
first since a revolution led by Fidel Castro toppled a US-backed
strongman in 1959.

As he arrived, Obama used a Cuban phrase meaning “what’s up?” when he tweeted: “¿Que bolá Cuba? Just touched down here, looking forward to meeting and hearing directly from the Cuban people.”

“This is a historic visit,” Obama said as he greeted US Embassy staff
and their families at a Havana hotel. “It’s an historic opportunity to
engage with the Cuban people.”A giant American delegation, estimated at somewhere between 800 and
1,200, swept into Havana this weekend, intent on closing a final chapter
in cold war history and sealing the diplomatic legacy of Obama’s
presidency. Joined by first lady Michelle Obama and his two daughters, Obama toured
Old Havana by foot, walking gingerly on the slippery wet stones in front
of the Havana Cathedral. The downpour notwithstanding, a few hundred
people gathered in the square erupted in applause and shouted Obama’s
name as the first family stepped forward. . continue reading

Obama says US too slow to react to Argentina‘s “Dirty War”

BUENOS AIRES — President Obama Thursday visited a memorial in
Argentina to the thousands of people killed and disappeared during that
country’s “dirty war,” on the 40th anniversary of the coup that started
it.

Obama used his visit to announce his plan to declassify new military and intelligence records that document the human rights violations from 1976 to 1983.

“There’s
been controversy about the policies of the United States early in those
dark days,” Obama said, standing beside the Argentinian President Mauricio Macri.
“The United States when it reflects on what happened here has to
reflect on its own past…. When we’re slow to speak out on human
rights, which was the case here.”

Despite early U.S. support for the coup, Obama said U.S. diplomats,
human rights workers and reporters played an important role in
documenting the abuses that took place in the aftermath. He extolled the
likes of diplomat Tex Harris, who worked at the U.S. embassy in Buenos
Aires during the administration of then-President Jimmy Carter to
document human rights abuses and identify the disappeared. Such men did
so despite threats to themselves and their families, Obama said.http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2016/03/24/obama-speaks-us-role-argentinas-dirty-war/82206754/

 Truth About Easter

Reprint from: Truth on Easter

Each year in the springtime, the mainstream Christian world celebrates a
holiday called “Easter.” Many assume that this holiday originated with the
resurrection of Jesus Christ but as the information provided here will
demonstrate that this spring tradition of men is actually or an older and
far less ‘holy’ than one would imagine. The following quotes have been derived
from several valid and even scholarly sources. The purpose is to unveil the
truth about the origins of this spring ‘Christianized’ pagan holiday. When
you have read these though and discerned the truth it is our hope that you
will remain convicted and follow His lead – away from non-biblical holidays.
The crux of the matter is not so much the hidden meanings of the symbols
and story but one of how your heart is before your Creator. Do you decide
what days to observe or does God? The bible tells us that a little leaven
leavens the whole lump and with that seasonally-correct truth in mind …
Come, let us reason together.

The Origin and History of Easter

“The term ‘Easter’ is not of Christian origin. It is
another form of Astarte, one of the titles of the Chaldean goddess, the queen
of heaven. The festival of Pasch [Passover and the Feast of Unleavens] was
a continuation of the Jewish [that is, God’s] feast….from this Pasch the
pagan festival of ‘Easter’ was quite distinct and was introduced into the
apostate Western religion, as part of the attempt to adapt pagan festivals
to Christianity.”
(W.E. Vine, Merrill F. Unger, William White, Jr.,
Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, article:
Easter, p.192)

Ish·tar : Mythology The chief Babylonian and Assyrian goddess, associated
with love, fertility, and war, being the counterpart to the Phoenician Astarte.
(The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language: Fourth Edition.
2000)

Tammuz: ancient nature deity worshiped in Babylonia.
A god of agriculture and flocks, he personified the creative powers of spring.
He was loved by the fertility goddess Ishtar, who, according to one legend,
was so grief-stricken at his death that she contrived to enter the underworld
to get him back. According to another legend, she killed him and later restored
him to life. These legends and his festival, commemorating the yearly death
and rebirth of vegetation, corresponded to the festivals of the Phoenician
and Greek Adonis and of the Phrygian Attis. The Sumerian name of Tammuz was
Dumuzi. In the Bible his disappearance is mourned by the women of Jerusalem
(Ezek. 8.14)
.(The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition. 2001)

“There is no warrant in Scripture for the observance of Christmas and Easter
as holydays, rather the contrary…and such observance is contrary to the
principles of the Reformed faith, conducive to will-worship, and not in harmony
with the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. ” (Morton H. Smith, How
is the Gold Become Dim, Jackson, Mississippi: Steering Committee for a Continuing
Presbyterian Church, etc., 1973, p.98)

“EASTER (AV Acts 12:4), An anachronistic mistranslation
of the Gk. pascha (RSV, NEB, “Passover”), in which the AV followed such earlier
versions as Tyndale and Coverdale. The Acts passage refers to the seven-day
Passover festival (including the Feast of Unleavened Bread). It is reasonably
certain that the NT contains no reference to a yearly celebration of the
resurrection of Christ.”
(International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia,
edited by Geoffrey Bromiley, Vol 2 of 4, p.6, article: Easter)

“The term Easter was derived from the Anglo-Saxon ‘Eostre,’ the name of the
goddess of spring. In her honor sacrifices were offered at the time of the
vernal equinox. By the 8th cent. the term came to be applied to the anniversary
of Christ’s resurrection.” (International Standard Bible Encyclopaedia, edited
by Geoffrey Bromiley, Vol 2 of 4, p.6, article: Easter)

Who Was Serapis Christ – Who Invented The Serapis Christ Cult

Ptolemy 1 Meryamun Setepenre (c.a. 367-283 B.C.E- Before Common Era)
(aka Soter) (“Soter” means savior) became the first European pharaoh of
Egypt through military force led by Alexander the Greek (a.k.a Alexander
the Great). When Ptolemy became pharaoh of Egypt, he wanted the
Egyptians to consecrate him as a god. He wanted to be called a god
because that was the title all of the pharaohs of Egypt were called
prior to him. However, the people of Egypt refused to call him a god
because they knew the only reason he became a pharaoh was through force,
so in “305 BC -Ptolemy took the title of Pharaoh, taking the Egyptian
name Meryamun Setepenre, which means “Beloved of Amun (Amun means God)
Chosen of Ra(Ra means God)”, and because of the Egyptians refusal to
acknowledge him as a God, he began killing the people of Egypt, which
caused the Egyptian priests at Memphis to give into his request by
agreeing to consecrate him to priesthood, in order to save their own
lives.

The key words in the above passage to keep in mind during your
reading: Meryamun, Setepenre, Soter, which are words that were used to
create the fictitious character of JESUS CHRIST in AD by Roman Emperor
Constantine (Meryamun, Setepenre, Soter were used in B.C).
The images of Ptolemy below, which are similar to the images that are
depicted as “Jesus” today, were forced upon the Africans and were
ordered to be worshipped by the people of Rome.

Serapis Christus Greco Roman c.a 135 B.C.E. The marble image in the
London museum is the image they use of Christ (Jesus) today. Christus
was also the nickname for Serapis.

What is Serapis? (Origin of JESUS CHRIST)

Ptolemy’s rule was to create a deity that would be worshipped by both
the Egyptians and the Greeks. He created “Serapis “, the made up
Graeco-Egyptian god that was invented in the 3rd century B.C., portrayed
as Greek in appearance, but with Egyptian accessories, representing
both wealth and resurrection.

“Egypt, which you commended to me my dearest Servianus, I have found
to be wholly fickle and inconsistent and continually wafted about by
every breath of fame. The worshippers of Serapis here are called
Christians and those who are devoted to the god Serapis (I find) call
themselves Bishops of Christ. Hadrian to Servianus 134 AD.”

Constantine and Arius
Constantine the Greek (a.k.a Constantine the Great) Roman Emperor
from 306 to 337, is known for being the first Roman emperor to be
converted to Christianity which strangely enough, Arius of Libya
(256-356 AD) born of African descent centuries after Ptolemy 1, had a
problem with the Roman empire teaching the Africans and the people of
Rome to worship a statue and celebrating death. He was considered a
heretic, a professed believer (of God), who maintains religious opinions
contrary to those accepted by his or her church (what the religious
authorities usually controlled by government deem as the truth). Because
he started attracting so many followers due to his teachings that were
contrary to the Romans, Constantine called the council by summoning all
the bishops to discredit Arius, The Council of Nicaea. During the time
when this meeting was called upon, there was no mention of Jesus Christ
at all; no man had ever existed by the name JESUS Christ, and an
important fact is that this all took place Anno Domino (AD) (which
Christians claim means after the death of Christ) but in Latin means ‘in
the year of the lord’. The name Jesus Christ didn’t exist before the
meeting was called (read the statements made during that timeframe). It
was only after this that they presented to the people the name JESUS
CHRIST.

What Lord are they referring to?

Kings have always been referred to as Lords or gods.

If Jesus Christ didn’t exist during the time this meeting took place
nor ever heard of whom are people worshipping today? Serapis Christus?

WA COGIC Loses Headquarters over Sexual Abuse – Bishop Wren Sexual Misconduct – Gay COGIC Pastor Mudered – COGIC Lawsuits

COGIC Youth Pastor Ronnie Powe Jr. Faces Statutory Rape Charge With Teenage Boy

During the transition of the revolution of same sex marriages it seems like the demons of homosexuality and molesting young children is becoming bolder, even in the pulpit of the oldest Pentecostal denomination, Church of God in Christ. Pastor Ronnie Poe, Jr., 27, the youth pastor of his father’s church in Chattanooga, TN., United Tabernacle Church of God in Christ is accused of sexually violating an innocent 15-year-old boy in back of an elementary school, allegedly. Since this case involving Pastor Ronnie Powe, Jr. touching a minor, when will we hear a public acknowledgment from Bishop Charles Blake (the head of COGIC since the death of the late Gilbert Earl Patterson)? It seems this will not be the last case, since there have been several other cases, involving adults sexually violating children for several years.

Powe admits to being attracted to the same sex and claimed he met the boy on an online dating site and did not know he was underage. Didn’t know? He met and molested this boy in back of East Lake Elementary School, we are very sure he knew and he most definitely will not get away with that lie in court.
Now, as we have mentioned before, the Church of God in Christ was founded by the late Bishop Charles Mason in 1897, the holiness denomination has preached righteousness, to be set a part from the world for years, but for the last twenty five years or more, the denomination has been caught up in becoming more like the secular world with their hip-hop gospel merging into the their churches nationwide through certain gospel artists who were raised in COGIC and have performed without shame; they have had descendants such as Bishop Yvette Flunder who is yet luring and influencing others to join her homosexual ministry while bragging of being taught under the late Bishop Walter Hawkins who had a gay and lesbian church in Oakland, CA., now under the leadership of his son who never even was ordained until his father died, allegedly; Bishop Carlton Pearson, also descendant of COGIC and an offspring of a dignitary preaches and negatively influences people to believe in his Gospel of Inclusion and along with all of these sinful behaviors, we have been covering issues of child molestation from ministers who cannot control their lusts and abstain from touching children. Now, this case of Pastor Ronnie Powe, Jr., the son of the Pastor of United Tabernacle Church of God in Christ could have been stopped, if he had not been given the position as youth pastor of his father’s church, obviously, like a lot of children of bishops and pastors, he is not called to be a minister.

Bloggers note:

Full Gospel is a branch of The Church of God in Christ. C.H. Mason alleged founder of COGIC received the name and doctrine from Charles Fox Parham (founder of KKK West Coast, founder of Assemblies of God, Grand-master of Freemason) Parham believed in Anglo Israelism or the Anglo European is God’s chosen people. Parham was also a disciple of Albert Pike who worshiped Lucifer as his God. Thus you have COGIC and Full Gospel teaching the Luciferian Rapture Doctrine.Although this doctrine is taught in Southern Baptist Churches and seminaries, it was not the teaching of traditional Black Baptist Convention Churches nor is it in harmony with the truth that emerge from the Protestant Reformation. It is a anti-protestant and anti-reformation doctrine. Parham was arrested for sodomy in Texas in 1907 and he promoted ministers who was favorable to his sexual orientation. Its no accident that so many of the COGIC ministers and bishops are like Parham.

Illuminati ministers will believe and teach Anglo Israelism (British Israel-Rapture), promote the COGIC-Full-Gospel and Illuminati agenda. The question is who will make the best over-seer. The master of the plantation usually chose the slave that was best suited in keeping the other slaves on the plantation in check. The master controlled what the HNIC thought and what he taught. What the master controller feared most was an independent thinking black man.

Charles H. Mason – Voo Doo Preacher or Witch Doctor?

Azusa Street Timeline

February 1906 : A Holiness church without a pastor decided to hear out a preacher Rumors were already circulating that Parham was committing sodomy with up to the front, like Charles H. Mason, founder of the Church of God in Christ.

Former KKK Leader now an ordained COGIC minister

Meet Johnny Lee Clary, a good ol’ boy from Oklahoma, proud white boy who is a minister for a black denomination… and oh yeah, a former imperial wizard for the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. The founder of the KKK West Coast, Charles Fox Parham is also the founder of the COGIC. The name and the doctrine of the COGIC came from Parham. Parham was the highest ranking Freemason on the west coast. When C.H. Mason visited the Azusa conference which was sponsor by Parham. It was Parham plan to make William Seymour the head of the church that would promote Parham’s doctrine (British Israel) but Parham and Seymour had a fallen out over Seymour baptising white people. When C.H. Mason arrived in town, Parham fell in love with him and decided to use Mason as the proxy for the new church which would be finance by the Rothschilds and Freemasons. C.H. Mason had the name that fit perfectly in Parham’s agenda.

In essence, the largest black church in the world was started by the KKK. The Church of God in Christ is actually a plantation with the bishop as HNIC.

Washington State Church of God in Christ loses headquarters over sex abuse case?

TACOMA, WA – The Church of God in Christ’s Washington state “jurisdiction” headquarters at 9201 Pacific Ave has been put up for sale in July, a consequence believed to be directly related to a million dollar lawsuit the church lost in King County Superior Court.

CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST PROPERTY

Tacoma, WA 98444

The COGIC Property is available for sale. This is a
receivership sale. All offers are encouraged. The asking

is zoned C-2. All sizes and information are from public
records

The building is vacant and was originally built as
a big box Wigwam store. The north portion of the building

the Washington State Jurisdiction, Church of God in
Christ Church.

the property extends east to South A Street. The property
has good visibility and access, with Hwy 512 just over
a mile to the south.

Assessed Value: $1,864,200 Parcel:

COGIC, Inc had been sued by a Jane Doe and several other women [read a legal brief of the case] for sexual abuse of Supt. Charles Smith. Smith died before the case was resolved in court.

According to inside reports, Bishop Blake put up $500k of the money and the Washington “jurisdiction” was responsible paying the other part. The costs were allegedly passed down to pastors in a jurisdiction of about 75 churches, many of them small. We have not yet confirmed whether the jurisdiction failed to pay the judgment and the building was seized to satisfy it or if they did pay the judgment and consequently defaulted on building payments.

A pastor close to the case told us that “Bishop Westbrook and Memphis owns the property. Bishop Westbrook owns either 75% or 85%! When is the manipulation going to stop? So many good people have placed their confidence in, invested time, money and energy into an organization.”

Pastor Harvey Burnett who blogs at The Dunamis Word said in a recent post the church’s unseemly silence on clergy sexual abuse creates waves of damage both in the church and the community.

“When the church deals with the issues after the fact, this seems, in every case, to only further damage the victims, reverse any image of goodwill that the church had established within the community and sets aside the perception that the church is capable of seriously dealing with tragic and devastating personal situations. In other words, the community is exposed to an evil straight out of the pit of hell, and because the church has no nerve, the devil reeks havoc.”

COGIC’s leadership, so far has done nothing but employ evasive “policies” and lie to its membership about the depth and severity of clergy sexual abuse in its ranks. Despite mounting evidence and cases all over the country (some we know about but cannot make public at this time) its leadership continues down a path of stunning arrogance. The church’s lead attorney Enoch Perry is mainly responsible for the quagmire of lies and broken lives. Perry recklessly advised pastors to conceal sex abuse issues because it would affect the church’s ability to get money from outside donors.

“Media coverage of any sexual oriented event and the church will have a negative slant. The pessimistic coverage will have a direct impact on the overall public perception of the church involved, its corporate body and its membership. Additionally, this negativity will directly affect new membership and outside donations.”

But in God’s time the church will reach a point to where the lies, deception and coverup will turn and be their demise. Be not deceived God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For God is no respector of persons

Alabama COGIC Bishop Peter Wren Sr Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Yet another high-ranking official in the Church of God in Christ—the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States and the second largest African-American denomination—is accused of sexual misconduct. Bishop Peter Wren Sr., who is the head of the Third Alabama Jurisdictional and pastors the East Birmingham COGIC, has been accused by at least two women in his jurisdiction of being a sexual predator.
2010_03_12_WRENThe allegations surfaced on social networking sites. Wren, who is married with children, denies the accusations and claims the woman is trying to “slander” him:
“She befriended my family and eventually moved into our home. For a period of (2) two years she stayed with my family, providing her a roof over her head and food to eat; worked at my place of business, providing her with revenue to support herself. In just a little while she would show a forming motive, after consumptions of alcohol, she would make advances at me. After rebukes and repeat attempts, I put her out of my home. She became angry and left the church and now is seeking ways to destroy my character by spreading these horrible lies. Tiffany_____, it is my recommendation that you seek some type of Psychiatric help and if these lies continue it leaves me no choice but to take legal actions against you because of Slander and Deformation[sic] of Character.
But another woman also comes forward and says there are many other cases.
“I also come as a victim of Bishop Peter Wren Sr. You confide in him some of your intimate secrets seeking spiritual guidance and he then takes those same secrets and guide you into unwarranted sexual advances and also his bed. I was too young and naïve to see through the deceit because like most innocent souls, we seek love and acceptance no matter what form.”
Officials at the Memphis-based COGIC, which claims to have a “zero-tolerance” policy on sexual abuse, have refused comment and will not say if there is an official investigation.
This becomes only the latest charge of sexual misconduct within the rabidly anti-gay Church of God in Christ, which is well known for attracting so many closeted black gay men and rivals the Catholic Church for the many sexual predators within its leadership. COGIC is embroiled in numerous lawsuits and criminal investigations around clergy sexual abuse—there is a micro-site on the Church website—and has been accused of covering up sexual misconduct cases for decades. On January 30, a former COGIC pastor wassentenced to 20 years on charges he raped a teenage girl some 25 years ago. One church reportedly has four convicted pedophiles on its payroll.
BTW: The Church of God in Christ was the denomination that hosted Donnie McClurkin for his now-infamous rant against gay youth when he compared gay men to “vampires”. Glass houses much?

In 2008, Ronald Paige, an Arkansas COCIC pastor, was killed by a young man who accused him of rape and molestation. Numerous male victims and their families have stepped forward with similar claims. One woman says she spoke to COGIC bishops about Paige molesting her son in the early 1980s and nothing was done. Watch a news report AFTER THE JUMP

Clergy sex crime cases 5th, 6th for COGIC denomination in 2010

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported that Rev. Dr. Laneer Fisher, pastor of the Miracle COGIC in Alquippa, PA in suburban Pittsburgh was arrested and charged with indecent assault and corruption of minors [source]. Laneer, who was arrested August 31st, allegedly has a history of sexual improprieties with young males. This is the fifth known case of clergy abuse/misconduct this year for the nation’s largest pentecostal denomination.

The pastor of a church in Aliquippa was arraigned yesterday on charges of molesting two teenage boys.

The Rev. Dr. Laneer Fisher, 38, of Moon, who is the pastor of the Miracle Church of God in Christ on Wilker Street, was charged by Aliquippa police with unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and corruption of minors. He was charged with those crimes as well as aggravated indecent assault, sexual assault and indecent exposure by Beaver Falls police.

“My client vehemently denies these allegations and will defend himself against them,” said attorney Dirk Allen Goodwald, who wonders why the two young men waited until now to go to police.

“My client understands that these allegations stem from a time when these people were young and came from broken relationships and that they may have misinterpreted, misconstrued, misunderstood and could not accept the nurturing and caring from a pastor and man of God.”

Then on October 13th, Palm Beach, FL police arrested Michael Charles Campbell pastor of the House of Worship COGIC in Deland, FL [source]. According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Campbell devised a scheme to sexually molest a 15 year old girl. He later used the same scheme on a 13 year old girl.

A former funeral home employee accused of sexually molesting a teenage girl, then photographing another in the nude, is a pastor at a small DeLand church.

The suspect, 46-year-old Michael Charles Campbell, is pastor of the House of Worship Church of God In Christ in the 300 block of South Woodland Boulevard.

Campbell, charged with lewd and lascivious molestation and lewd and lascivious conduct, was also employed by Lohman’s Funeral Home in Daytona Beach, police said.

The day police say he accosted the 15-year-old girl at a beachside motel in Daytona Beach in the spring of 2007, Campbell first picked up the girl at her residence. He was driving a hearse with a body in it, one he was supposed to deliver to Daytona Beach International Airport, a police report shows. Investigators said Campbell told the teenager’s father that he needed the girl to help him do some work at the funeral home. The youngster’s parents agreed and Campbell went to get the child.

The national church’s leadership however continues to deny that the problem of clergy sexual abuse is anything significant. Enoch Perry, head of the church’s legal department told a gathering of leaders last year that the denomination had only had about 20-25 cases since it began in 1906. Asked by the Memphis Commercial Appeal about the mounting sexual abuse documented by Report COGIC Abuse, Bishop Charles Blake downplayed the cases saying too much attention was being given to them. He later admitted that COGIC spends $800,000 a year on sexual abuse cases.

Is COGIC’s “zero tolerance” policy on clergy sexual abuse a failure?

Reporting on clergy sexual abuse in the nation’s largest black pentecostal denomination is not an easy or enjoyable task. But because denominational leadership has repeatedly failed to enact their own policies on the issue, we have to continue exposing not only the careless attitude of leadership, but the criminals who continue to prey upon the weak and innocent in the Lord’s church. People should be reminded that if your leadership will not take measure to ensure the protection of your children at church, then you should know that they will not support you should the unthinkable happen to your child.

We are barely two months into the year 2010, and already four clergy sexual abuse/misconduct cases involving Church of God in Christ (COGIC) clergy have come to light. But as before, we find that Bishop Charles Blake and his so-named team of professionals are unresponsive and missing in action. And the alleged “zero tolerance” policy that has become the COGIC’s closet secret is once again proven to be little more than a deflective media sound bite.

Just last week Pastor Edwin House and his wife Louvenia were arrested by police in Crescent, Oklahoma and charged with five counts of lewd molestation allegedly perpetrated on two underage foster girls under their care. House is pastor of the Lighthouse COGIC north of Oklahoma City. The Oklahoman reported that the two were released on bail the following day. But the allegations are troubling.

ElderHouseEdwin House is accused of sexually abusing two 14-year-old girls in his home. Lovenia House is accused of not doing enough to protect the children.

One of the girls attempted suicide in July by overdosing on pills, court affidavits state. She told counselors she was molested by Edwin House and was depressed. She said the abuse started when she was 7, with the latest incident occurring when she was 9.

She told investigators Edwin House laid on top of her while she was sleeping and put his hand down her shirt. He also put his hands on her chest while she was in his car, she reported.

The girl was removed from the home and taken into protective custody, court records show.

Lovenia House told investigators her husband touched the girl’s chest to teach her how boys might act if she continued to dress provocatively.

A female foster child who lived with the couple from November 2003 to December 2004 told investigators Edwin House would lay on top of her after he tucked her into bed at night.

House is a member of the Oklahoma NW jurisdiction with Bishop Lee Vicker Broom. But upon his release, House made an unusually defiant statement to the media. Was it to the media or to his denominational leaders?

Edwin House said Wednesday that his church is aware of the allegations against him and his wife. He is pastor of the Light House Church of God in Christ in Crescent.

According to the church’s Web site, Edwin House started the church in 1984. He also ran a Christian school for three years for children in grades 1-8. House closed the school in 2007.

“Nothing is going to change at the church,” Edwin House said. He said congregation members and friends have rallied to support him.

We sincerely hope that all of the allegations against the Houses are false, but that has to be determined in a court of law. Its is strange per his wife that she would condone her husband’s touching the young girls to “teach them a lesson”. Why couldnt she simply do what the Bible tells older women to do with younger women in Titus 2:4? Surely, there were better ways to teach young girls not to dress provocatively than to simulate “what boys might do to them”.

However, unless something has been lost in the interpretation of the word “zero” as in “zero tolerance”, House should have been removed from pastoring until he and his wife are cleared of wrongdoing. But can that happen when House literally declared he wont be stepping down? Secondly, are COGIC leaders in his jurisdiction going to enact the “zero tolerance” policy? The most serious issue with Bishop Blake’s zero tolerance policy is that it has never been used publicly. But the Bishop stated again in the denomination’s 2009 meeting that he “supported” the policy.

COGIC’s self preservation attitude continues to create more victims

With all of the layers of proposed and actual departments COGIC leadership claims is in place to deal with clergy sexual abuse, its still unclear how people like Prince Woolfolk of Kentucky could continue pastoring two churches for an entire year after he was cited in a juvenile rape case. Woolfolk was convicted January 30th and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Again, no zero tolerance policy was enacted. Woolfork wasn’t removed from office, he resigned at will with no known punitive action from COGIC.

In Shreveport, Louisiana, Rev. Bruce Goss, pastor of the New Birth Temple COGIC was arrested after police discovered him in a car partially unclothed with a 13 year old girl. The Shreveport Times reported on the story.

goss-bruce-leeA Shreveport man who claimed to be a pastor today was convicted of molestation of a juvenile. A Caddo District Court jury deliberated for roughly a half hour then returned the guilty verdict against Bruce Lee Goss, 52, according to the district attorney’s office. Judge Leon Emanuel set a hearing Nov. 23 for further proceedings. Goss could be sentenced sometime in December, a news release states.
Goss was arrested in December 2007 when Shreveport police responded to a report of a vehicle backed into the driveway of a vacant dwelling in the 2600 block of Waggoner Avenue. Officers said they found Goss in the back seat with a partially clothed 13-year-old girl. “We’re pleased to see another predator off our streets,” Caddo District Attorney Charles Rex Scott says in the release. “I am very proud of our prosecution team and of the Shreveport police officers who pursued this case.”

As we reported earlier, Presiding Bishop Blake said COGIC spends on average $800,000 to defend or settle clergy sexual abuse claims while chief lawyer Enoch Perry claimed that in the last 100 years, COGIC had only had “20-25″ processed cases of clergy sexual abuse. He did not define what constitutes a “processed case”.

We reported to you earlier this year that the presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), Bishop Charles Blake promised he would make it a priority of his administration to deal with what appears to be numerous cases of clergy sexual abuse and criminal sexual activity. So far, nothing has been done.

Meanwhile, the devastation caused by wolves pretending to be pastors continues. And their primary target: young boys who are seduced into their web of sexual terror.

A Memphis CBS news today aired new revelations on the story of Pastor Ronald Paige who was murdered in his home in April. Now, the man’s 21 year old killer has confessed and told the reason why. The pastor was attempting to forcibly rape him. What’s more, the pastor has a long history of molesting teen boys at his church. Six other victims have already made statements to police.

Is it time for COGIC Bishop Charles E. Blake to Clean House? Lately it seems that every month there is another story in the news about a Church of God In Christ Pastor (COGIC) for either rape involving a …. Gomes, an openly gay pastor

The Story of Bishop John Dale Husband Homosexual Activities

Back in the old days, homosexuality was whispered about, but rarely spoken of openly. Case in point, the murky story of one of COGIC’s most prolific preachers, the late Bishop John D. Husband. A resident of Atlanta, he presided over one of the Church of God in Christ’s rising jurisdictions, Central Georgia.

Bishop Husband was consecrated during a time of great turmoil in the church and eventually elected to the church‟s highest governing body, the General Board. Hushed up homosexual scandals were not just relegated to the pews, but the leadership was beset with them as well. The church held its collective breath in early 1991, when a scandal of epic proportions surfaced involving the bishop.

“He [Husband] seemed like a very fine person. He was involved, as I remember, in some scandalous situation. Apparently, he did not survive the reaction; so they must have put him down”, said a former COGIC Missions Department official who asked not to be named.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution [23],[24] as well as the Memphis Commercial Appeal [25] reported in several successive articles that Bishop Husband had been accused of embezzling over half a million dollars of church money. Although the sex scandals were public knowledge, AJC reporters agreed not to print the initial stories of Husband‟s homosexuality because of the young boys and men involved.

As one of the original members of the church’s presidium, Husbands was held in great esteem by some, but secretly despised by others. According to one Texas church “superintendent”, Bishop Husband’s homosexuality was no secret in the denomination. Yet, year after year he was a favorite speaker at the national Holy Convocation in Memphis, a polished and dynamic personality who could move the COGIC faithful with his preaching.

But why church leadership never dealt with his mounting homosexual displays is still a mystery. Or if he was disciplined, why was it ineffective? Rumors about Husband‟s increasingly open homosexual proclivities began swirling madly like Texas tornadoes until the deafening roars reached the wary ears of Memphis 600 miles to the west. Even in Memphis, during church meetings, some that encountered him say his words and actions were very questionable.

A New York-based Pastor (who has since left the denomination) recalled a meeting with Husband: “Once in Memphis, I was with some friends at a restaurant and we happened to bump in to him about 2 am. He was always the only General Board member who hung out all hours of the night at the meetings, and now I know why. Anyway, he made a disparaging remark about [my Bishop]. I quickly defended my Bishop and let Bishop Husband know that I did not think that a Bishop would disrespect another Bishop like that. He gave a weak apology and offered to make it up later on if I called his hotel room. Needless to say, I never called and I never had a personal encounter with him. I have no idea how he was going to make it up, and I didn‟t want to find out.” [26]

Husband‟s own wife, who divorced him in the late seventies, allegedly reported him numerous times to the General Board in Memphis, complaining of his homosexual adultery and liaisons, but to no avail. The top presbytery refused to act. The failure of the board to act swiftly and decisively with their contemporary may have pushed him to even further into the double lifestyle.

Husband was no novice. He was voted in as one of the original General Board members of the church, a consequence of the intense infighting in the church after the death of it‟s founder, C. H. Mason in 1961. Due to the internal conflicts sweeping across the church, Husband was one of six men appointed to Bishop in 1965 by the Executive Board [27]. The behind the scenes struggles for loyalty and power was an attempt to leverage appointments made by Bishop Ozro T. Jones Sr.

What happens when a church goes to war — against itself?

On February 3, 1965, a meeting was convened at Pentecostal Temple in Memphis by the Executive Board to address the problem of church authority. At the center of the controversy was Bishop OT Jones, Sr. The Executive Board, a group of 11 Bishops, contended in a letter, that although Jones had been “recognized and honored” as Senior Bishop in 1962, the agreement was that his office would be worked out (discontinued) in April 1963. [28] Apparently, Jones did not see things that way. The EB went on to say that “Bishop Jones, has since 1962, usurped the power of the Executive Board and abrogated unto himself the authority to appoint Bishops, Overseers and other officials of the church.” Clearly, this was an angry group of men. They officially ordered Jones to “cease and desist.”[29]

Later that year, on October 6, a larger group of clergy —the Board of Bishops—, asserted its muscle in Jones’ defense. They also convened in Memphis and issued a stinging document asserting that it was they, not the Executive Board, which possessed sole power to authenticate the authority of Bishop Jones in the

 church.

The Board of Bishops strongly rebuked the EB, telling them that they would not recognize any “unauthorized acts, documents, credentials, decisions, appointments, meetings, financial obligations, agreements, “new” jurisdictions, and the like.”[30] Tucked with that rebuke was a rejection of Bishop Husband’s earlier appointment (Husband, standing right side second from end, with COGIC General Board circa 1972). Both groups claimed that they were acting on the express authority of the deceased Bishop Mason. The conflict remained unresolved and escalated to frightening heights. On January 23, 1968, a weary OT Jones issued a church-wide letter again spelling out the conditions of his authority. Like Paul defending his apostolic authority to the Corinthians, Jones pointed out that he was the last of the first five Bishops appointed by CH Mason. He said that Mason specifically chose him to hold the current office with delegated power to “edit and codify and arrange the church‟s Constitution, Doctrines, and rules of Order.” Jones’ lengthy letter issued several challenges to his opponents. He pointed out that every time he was brought to [civil] court, it had been either resolved or thrown out. The matter was indeed resolved, though not to everyone’s satisfaction, by the formation of the General Board in 1969, with Bishop JO Patterson, Sr. being elected as the first “Presiding Bishop.”

Personal and Painful

Although Husband (a favorite of J.O. Patterson, Sr) later became one of the oratorical stars of the church, he skipped serious scrutiny and of his sexual lifestyle. That is, until the problems with money surfaced. After an investigation it was discovered Husband had stolen over $500,000 from illegal sales of local churches. A former member of Husband’s church stated that the embezzled money was a direct result of his attempt to cover up his homosexuality. Others strongly believed the money was used to pay for the medical bills of the male lover who passed the HIV virus on to the Bishop.

Elder Willie Davis, a member of his local church and a plaintiff in the lawsuit against the Bishop, told the Journal Constitution “I don‟t know if he’s used this money for his personal benefit, but it‟s gone somewhere.”

The Atlanta saga was becoming more and more disturbing while Husband spun a wider web of sexual involvement with young men mostly within his jurisdiction. Gwen Fox, now getting up in age, knew firsthand the anguish of Husband‟s sexual outreaches. Her son Toby (Tobias) [33] —whose birthday was the same as Husband— was molested by the bishop during the church‟s Memphis meeting in 1981. [31] The anguish behind years of dealing with the situation caused Gwen to suffer three heart attacks and other personal losses including estrangement from the church she loved so much.

Toby, already a talented organist at age 15, was overjoyed that his mom had allowed him to accompany Bishop Husband to the meeting. Husband was given money to pay for a separate room for the boy, but when they both arrived in Memphis, Husband lied to the boy telling him that there were no rooms available. Further, he said that the two of them would have to share a room. Toby was now in the molester’s grip.

He recalled how the Bishop‟s subtle sexual advances began much earlier than age 15. Husband‟s predatory activities against young boys began long before he was appointed to Bishop. He was brought to Atlanta from Mississippi as a protégé of the late Bishop James Hinsley. A one-time mail carrier, Husband lived with the Hinsley family for some time. But trouble surfaced when neighbors complained to police that Husband was enticing and molesting young boys. A trap door in the back of a store he owned served as the portal to those unspeakable acts. Gwen Fox recalled that the late Bishop W.G. Shipman came to town and quietly bailed Husband out of jail after two arrests.

But in Memphis, Toby was trapped and cornered.

“When Toby returned home, his behavior began to change. He started having trouble at school and it got so bad that the teachers begin to call me and ask if something bad was going on at home,” Gwen Fox said. Toby, twenty one years later and now stricken with HIV and partial paralysis, remembered that Husband had gotten in bed with him and begin forcefully pressing his genitals against the boy. Shocked and bewildered, he jumped out of the bed and asked Husband what he was doing. He said Husband looked at him with a calm face and said, “I thought this was what you wanted.”

Tobias admitted that, at a later time, he willingly continued in a sexual relationship with Husband until his young adult years. “He was powerful and I wanted to be connected to that. I (eventually) felt comfortable around him and wanted his love. He gave me the attention I needed and wanted from a man. He always told me “you’re the best, you’re the best‟, said the talented songwriter and musician. Tobias wrote the popular gospel song “Shabach”. [32]

When Toby finally confessed to an aunt what had transpired in Memphis, Gwen Fox was told. She immediately began petitioning the church’s General Board on behalf of her son. She said she sent certified letters to each member and even hand delivered a letter to then presiding Bishop Louis H. Ford, who angrily refused to accept it even after Fox had waited two hours in line to see him. Fox, whose parents were well known COGIC pioneers in Georgia, got angry herself and threatened to begin contacting talk shows —notably Oprah Winfrey— if the church leaders would not hear her. In retaliation, several anonymous death threats were made against her life.

She vividly recalled the night at Husband‟s Marietta church when several bishops from the church were there to investigate allegations of the financial wrongdoing. Because of the death threats and rumors of gun toting “saints”, undercover police were sprinkled throughout the building.

“It was one terrible, terrible night,” she said softly.

The meeting was about to end and not one Bishop had addressed the sexual allegations which affected so many. Refusing to be put off any longer, Fox and another woman whose son was a victim stood up and asked when they (the Bishops) were going to deal with Husband’s problems. Although she was initially rebuffed, Fox was later told to come back into the church offices to relate her story to the quorum of Bishops and officials.

“Some of them were mean and arrogant, but others listened. Bishop O.T. Jones, Jr. cried when I told them my story. The President of the Marietta NAACP went with me because of the death threats that I had heard about. They (NAACP) even advised me to bring legal action against COGIC, but I didn’t want to go against what the scriptures said.”

Another Bishop from Texas, convinced the church was liable for Husband‟s actions, also urged her to pursue litigation.

At a special meeting in Memphis in early 1991, Husband, through his attorney, submitted a formal letter admitting guilt to “all charges.” He was summarily stripped of all credentials and excommunicated from the church, the first time COGIC had done so with any bishop. Possibly sick of disease, Husband died in late 1991 of unpublicized causes. COGIC erased what part of his legacy and contributions to the church they could. His funeral, held at Rev. Timothy Fleming’s Mr. Carmel Baptist Church in Atlanta, was not attended by any of the COGIC General Board. Some say this was done for several reasons. One, besides the General Secretary, there were at least two other national officers who were following in Husband’s path. They felt more scandals could severely damage the already tarnished reputation of a church reeling from years of infighting. Secondly, perhaps the most tragic, blacking out Husband‟s transgressions helped to ease the guilt on their souls.

Six months after the Husband’s guilty admission, the office of the Presiding Bishop LH Ford issued a letter to the general church declaring the matter over. There was no mention of Husband’s sins or crimes and no acknowledgement or apologies to Husband’s victims or their families.

Family Feud: Bishop G.E. Patterson’s widow files lawsuit against nephew that replaced him

On August 18th 2008, the widow of well known and recently deceased Bishop G. E. Patterson, of Bountiful Blessings ministries has filed a lawsuit against Milton Hawkins, the new church pastor in a dispute over money. Louise Patterson is attempting to preserve her salary of $27,000 a month, which she thought was to be a lifelong stipend, but apparently was only contractually promised to her for two years after her husband’s death. She is also concerned about the approximately $20,000 that comes in each Sunday from contributions.

It seems that when Bishop Patterson died and Hawkins took over, the church had about four million dollars in it’s coffers. Pastor Hawkins, whose salary is $33,000 a month, has purchased land for about $300,000 and is building his own 1 million dollar home on it. There is some concern, according to Matthews blog, that Hawkins is using church money for his own.

. One is reminded of that old joke about the three preachers discussing how they pay themselves from the church donations. The first said, ” I draw a circle in chalk on the floor of my office and toss the money in the air. What falls inside the circle is mine, the rest is for the church.” The second says, ” I draw a line down the middle of my office and toss the money into the air. What falls on the side I’m standing on is mine, the rest is the church’s.” The last preacher, who drove a new Cadillac and wore custom made suits said, ” I just toss the money into the air. What God catches, he can keep.” Another joke is that Sen. Charles Grassley (R) Iowa is investigating the finances of Cerullo and six other televangelist and stated that these non profit organizations should not be using viewers donations to lead an extravagant lifestyle. Imagine a politician saying this. Where else but for government, except for maybe the clergy it seems, can a person get elected to a $150,000 a year job and six years later be a multi millionaire? It would be funny if it were not so sad.

another 17 at a social services center on Wednesday before being fatally
shot by police hours later while on the run.

It is the deadliest shooting in the U.S. since the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, which left 28 dead.

San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said a tip led police to a
home in the nearby city of Redlands, where officers saw the suspects
leave in a dark SUV. Police pursued and fired on the SUV, killing one
male and female suspect.

Burguan said a third person was seen running away from the SUV and
was later taken into custody, but it’s unclear whether that person had a
connection to the shooting.

One officer sustained non-life threatening injuries in the confrontation.

“AIDS, NIXON and AMERICA’S FUTURE: PL91-213”

by Boyd E. Graves, J.D.

It is hard to believe the public law that authorized AIDS
will be thirty one years old next week. Even more remarkable, that in a score
and a half, no one has ever read it!

On March 16, 1970, following significant world events both in
medicine and politics, President Richard Milhouse Nixon signed into law the
U.S. policy to protect America’s future by “stabilizing” the
population of Sub-Sahara Africa. The history leading to the politics is
relevant in our further presentation of the “research logic”
Flow Chart of the federal virus
program.
On April 4, 1969, President Richard Nixon did not want to be late.
He had been there many times before, but today was special. He wanted the
scientific and medical communities from around the world to hear and see his
presence as our military scientists and doctors announced, ‘they could
effectively make AIDS.’ It was Fort Detrick, Maryland and the ethnic nature of
the work would not be printed until November ’70.
Unbeknownst to the American people, the Special Virus program had
been underway since November, 1961. In a real sense, the current trillion
dollar ‘tax’ “give back” to U.S. taxpayers, is in essence the benefit
of our sharpened ability to kill humans for a better tomorrow for our financial
investment in our trust in God.
The 1971 Flow Chart proves the United States sought to co-mingle
animal viruses (Visna) that had never before been seen in human disease. Thus,
at what point did the population projections of Africa necessitate this
“long standing secret virus program?” It appears that shortly after
WW2, and the importation of the German (Operation Paperclip) and Japanese biological
experts, the U.S. State Department wrote a top secret memo under the pen of
George W. McKennan. The United States knew in 1948 it had to ‘devise a
scheme’
to implant the German Visna in the human population and assist
the Black population in copulating itself into extinction.
Why? Why? Why would the ‘so-called’ greatest
“people-oriented” country in the history of the world have an Oz-like
curtain behind which reveals a twisted, evil social structure so contrary to
the very fabric of the core Constitutional foundations?
As Zbigniev Brezinski says in his classic 1978 National Security
Council Memorandum #46: “Africa’s resources remain our “highest
priority””! (Translation: If we allow the Africans to use of all
their own diamonds and gold, we won’t have anything physical to show that we
are not available for sex for others.)
So what we have done over the last fifty three years is come up
with a way to make it appear that Africa’s people are “sexually
nasty”. Thus African deaths are palatable. These people are dying solely
because of their behavior. Sort of the same thing that happened to homosexuals.
In other words, we are going to secretly make AIDS and not tell
you, so if you never stray from ‘monogamous missionary’, you won’t have
anything to worry about. Yeah, yeah, mr. government, please give us more
concocted social skills tests that end in state death. Even though you can’t
see it now, we will all be crucified.
But as it was, Nixon helicoptered back down to the Wh— House and
got busy. They were going to do it. No more White on White crime, we are going
to get those darkies. Adolph was wrong, why check for foreskins to determine
who your enemy is when you need only look toward his (face).
Wasting no time to get to waste Blacks, in May 1969, Nixon
authorized the United Nations Association of the United States of America to
issue the first of the U.S. policy decisions carving out a U.S future world
with Africa’s resources void her people.
On June 9, The Pentagon informed the U.S. Congress and presto,
there it is. The trickster’s manifesto as to why we would quickly need
something like AIDS (which we had just made).
President Nixon’s “Special Message to the Congress on
Problems of Population Growth” 7/18/69 is the crown jewel of the ideology
of eugenics and racism. Again, though, who could possibly have known and have
been able to see through this government matrix? Reflect back that we were
distracted frequently throughout the entire decade of the 60’s and 70’s.
Kennedy, King, Kennedy (KKK) and Vietnam.
A very strong case builds that the desire to introduce Visna
(wasting) into humans is the direct result of the true tilt of the
ethnic/social landscape to the detriment of racial and social minorities.
With Nixon’s law authorizing eugenics czar, John D. Rockefeller,
III to lead the charge to cull the Black population, the U.S. Congress is
dog-tied from citizen overview of the Population Commission
(“COMMISSION”). AIDS is official U.S. policy. However, it is only
outlined until the end of the 20th Century. Our call for review is just, it is
our union which is imperfect.
Join our petition call for immediate review of the 1971 Flow Chart and 15 progress reports

Commission on Population Growth and the American Future

March 27, 1972

To the President and Congress of the United States:
I have the honor to transmit for your consideration the Final
Report, containing the findings and recommendations, of the Commission on
Population Growth and the American Future, pursuant to Sec. 8, PL 91-213.
After two years of concentrated effort, we have concluded that, in
the long run, no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the
Nation’s population, rather that the gradual stabilization of our population
through voluntary means would contribute significantly to the Nation’s ability
to solve its problems. We have looked for, and have not found, any convincing
economic argument for continued population growth. The health of our country
does not depend on it, nor does the vitality of business nor the welfare of the
average person.
The recommendations offered by this Commission are directed
towards increasing public knowledge of the causes and please=””
acknowledge=”” and consequences of population change, facilitating
and guiding the processes of population movement, maximizing information about
human reproduction and its consequences for the family, and enabling
individuals to avoid unwanted fertility.
To these ends we offer this report in the hope that our findings
and recommendations will stimulate serious consideration of an issue that is of
great consequence to present and future generations.
Respectfully submitted for the Commission,

John D. Rockefeller 3rd, Chairman

the 1950s, the Rockefellers reorganized the U.S. eugenics movement in their own
family offices, with spinoff world population control and abortion groups. The

support from the Rockefellers, the Eugenics Society (England) set up a

12 years had no other address than the Eugenics Society. This, then, is the

“In fact, it (the HIV virus) is created by a scientist for
biological warfare at an Army research facility in MD. Why has there been so
much secrecy about AIDS? When you ask where did the virus come from, it raises
a lot of flags. That makes me suspicious.”

provided the following observations: 1. All biological agents up the the
present time are representatives of naturally occurring disease, and are thus
known by scientists throughout the world. They are easily available to
qualified scientists for research, either for offensive or defensive purposes. 2.
Within the next 5 to 10 years, it would probably be possible to make a new infective
microorganism which could differ in certain important aspects from any known
disease-causing organisms. Most important of these is that it might be
refractory to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon which we depend
to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease. 3. A research
program to explore the feasibility of this could be completed in approximately
5 years at a total cost of $10 million. 4. It would be very difficult to
establish such a program. Molecular biology is a relatively new science. There
are not many highly competent scientists in the field. Almost all are in
university laboratories, and they are generally adequately supported from
sources other than DOD. However, it was considered possible to initiate an
adequate program through the National Academy of Sciences – National Research
Council (NAS-NRC). The matter was discussed with the NAS-NRC, and tentative
plans were plans were made to initiate the program. However decreasing funds in
CB, growing criticism of the CB program, and our reluctance to involve the
NAS-NRC in such a controversial endeavor have led us to postpone it for the
past 2 years. It is a highly controversial issue and there are many who believe
such research should not be undertaken lest it lead to yet another method of
massive killing of large populations. On the other hand, without the sure
scientific knowledge that such a weapon is possible, and an understanding of
the ways it could be done, there is little that can be done to devise defensive
measures. Should an enemy develop it, there is little doubt that this is an
important area of potential military technological inferiority in which there
is no adequate research program. Funded for $10,000 000 12/8/69 (306 yes votes

“Smallpox vaccine triggered AIDS virus.”
Smallpox vaccines triggered AIDS
On May 11, 1987, The London Times, one of the world’s
most respected newspapers, published an explosive article entitled,
“Smallpox vaccine triggered AIDS virus.” The story suggested the
smallpox eradication vaccine program sponsored by the WHO was responsible for
unleashing AIDS in Africa. Almost 100 million Africans living in central Africa
were inoculated by the WHO. The vaccine was held responsible for awakening a
“dormant” AIDS virus infection on the continent.
An advisor to the WHO admitted, “Now I believe
the smallpox vaccine theory is the explanation for the explosion of AIDS.”
Robert Gallo, M,D., the co-discoverer of HIV, told The Times, “The link
between the WHO program and the epidemic is an interesting and important
hypothesis. I cannot say that it actually happened, but I have been saying for
some years that the use of live vaccines such as that used for smallpox can
activate a dormant infection such as HIV.” Despite the tremendous
importance of this story, the U.S. media was totally silent on the report, and
Gallo never spoke of it again.
In September 1987, at a conference sponsored by the
National Health Federation in Monrovia, California, William Campbell Douglass,
M.D., bluntly blamed the WHO for murdering Africa with the AIDS virus. In a
widely circulated reprint of his talk entitled “W.H.O. Murdered
Africa” , he accused the organization of encouraging virologists and
molecular biologists to work with deadly animal viruses in an attempt to make
an immunosuppressive hybrid virus that would be deadly to humans. From the
Bulletin of the World Health Organization (Volume 47, p.259, 1972), he quoted a
passage that stated: “An attempt should be made to see if viruses can in
fact exert selective effects on immune function. The possibility should be looked
into that the immune response to the virus itself may be impaired if the
infecting virus damages, more or less selectively, the cell responding to the
virus.” According to Douglass, “That’s AIDS. What the WHO is saying
in plain English is Let’s cook up a virus that selectively destroys the T-cell
system of man, an acquired immune deficiency.'”

33 million people live with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. 190 countries around the world recognize this day to raise awareness that the battle is not over in the fight against the world’s number one health threat.

An International Conference on AIDs will be held in Africa, December 3 through 7.

In the U.S., the Black AIDS Institute is asking the Obama administration to set up a domestic funding program for HIV/AIDS prevention, according to BET.The institute says this is increasingly a black issue as about half of the over one million Americans living with HIV or AIDS are black.

Increasingly women and girls are finding themselves part of the growing numbers, with about 11 percent of newly reported AIDS cases contracted either through sex with infected men or injected drug use. African American woman accounted for 66 percent of the newly diagnosed cases in 2005, according to theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention.

The New York Timesin an editorial, says that the WHO developed a mathematical model predicting what would happen if most adults and adolescents were tested every year for the AIDS virus, and those who were positive were treated immediately with antiretroviral medications. The policy now is to use the drugs after your immune system is depresse

“Letter of Transmittal”
Commission on Population Growth and the American Future
726 Jackson Place, N. W.
Washington, D. C. 20506
March 27, 1972
To the President and Congress of the United States:
I have the honor to transmit for your consideration the Final Report, containing the findings and recommendations, of the Commission on Population Growth and the American Future, pursuant to Sec. 8, PL 91-213.
After two years of concentrated effort, we have concluded that, in the long run, no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the Nation’s population, rather that the gradual stabilization of our population through voluntary means would contribute significantly to the Nation’s ability to solve its problems. We have looked for, and have not found, any convincing economic argument for continued population growth. The health of our country does not depend on it, nor does the vitality of business nor the welfare of the average person.
The recommendations offered by this Commission are directed towards increasing public knowledge of the causes and please=”” acknowledge of population change, facilitating and guiding the processes of population movement, maximizing information about human reproduction and its consequences for the family, and enabling individuals to avoid unwanted fertility.
To these ends we offer this report in the hope that our findings and recommendations will stimulate serious consideration of an issue that is of great consequence to present and future generations.
Respectfully submitted for the Commission,
John D. Rockefeller 3rd, Chairman
The President
The President of the Senate
The Speaker of the House of Representatives

Loretta Sabella Viglione has had a question for God:

The Morris Plains woman lost her younger brother, an NYFD

to see Pope Francis, hoping he could elevate these eight acres so they
feel like a true cemetery.
“The pope needs to come here. He needs to bless this ground. This is
what he has to do,” she said, her tears taking her by surprise. It
causes her great pain, she said, that she cannot pay her respects at any
gravesite – that she has to mourn in a public park.
“I have nowhere to go,” she said, awaiting the pontiff’s arrival. “I will go to my grave hating that. Where are they?”continue reading

PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW THE REAL TRUTH

It is ironic that the worst event that has occur in the last 50 years is almost forgotten by main stream media. George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld,Efraim Halevy,Ariel Sharon, Larry Silverstein, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the other Conspirators want the world to forget about 9-11 and the big hoax perpetrated upon the people of the world as a pretext for war with Iraq and ushering in the Patriot Act. The people of the World are not fool. 9-11 did occur and and we the people will not forget the ruthless attack on the people of New York City on September 11, 2001.  Why did 3000 Jews and Israel citizens decide to not show up for work at the WTC that day? All nations lost citizens that day except Israel. This is the conspiracy of all conspiracy.

Meanwhile, in cities and neighborhood across the

considered one of the darkest in America’s history on a par with the
attack on Pearl Harbor.

More recently, the country has been placing less
emphasis on the events of the day, and focusing more on the natural

President Barack Obama says he remembers sitting down on the evening of
9/11, rocking his baby daughter Sasha to sleep and sensing for the first
time in his life that the U.S. homeland was vulnerable.
Obama’s recollections came Friday as he spoke with service members at Fort Meade in Maryland.
Obama was a state senator in Illinois when the terror attacks occurred.
He told the troops the destruction that day shows “just how precious
what we have is and the need for us to defend it at any cost.”
He also says he remembers and gives credit to President George W. Bush
for going to the World Trade Center site and throwing out the first
pitch at Yankee Stadium after the attacks. He says he recalls thinking
as he watched that people are Americans first, not Republicans or
Democrats, or Texans or Californians, and that they all had to unite for

Lower Manhattan, the world marks 9/11 anniversary

USA TODAY ‎-

On the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. NEW YORK — With The Star-Spangled Banner, a bagpipe tribute
and a moment of silence, a ceremony marking the 14th anniversary of the
9/11 terror attacks solemnly kicked off in Lower Manhattan on Thursday.
The
White House marked the anniversary with a moment of silence. Events
also will take place at the Pentagon and the field in Shanksville, Pa., where
the other planes crashed that day.
In New York, the roll call of
the victims began shortly after 8:46 a.m., the same time 14 years ago
that the first plane hit the north tower of the World Trade Center.

I must
confess that I like the millions and even billions of people around the world
suffered dupenosis  (inability to think
beyond what the eyes thought it saw) on 911.
I thought I saw a plane hit tower number two on September 11, 2001.  I thought that the conspiracy theorist talking
about no planes hitting WTC were complete idiots who were blind. Even Stevie
Wonder could see the plane hit the towers. Then I accidently stumbled upon a
video when I was looking for proof to support my theory.

I realized
that the government at the time was made up of masonic Disney like cartoon characters
capable of wizardry.  I looked deeper beyond
what my eyes thought they saw to the real truth of the matter that I was duped
and was suffering from dupenosis.  The NWO mass media machine had mesmerized me into thinking that
planes had hit the Twin Towers on September 11,2001.

9/11 ” Dust Lady,” Marcy Borders, dies of cancer

NEW YORK — The photo of a young woman coated in
dust and ash was one of the iconic images of September 11, 2001. Marcy
Borders, then a 28-year-old legal assistant, became known as the “Dust
Lady.” Now, nearly 14 years later, Borders has died of cancer.
On
the day of the attacks, Borders was working for Bank of America in the
World Trade Center. She made it down from the 81st floor and stepped
onto the sidewalk as the South Tower began to fall, CBS New York reports. That’s when photographer Stan Honda captured the famous image of Borders covered in ash and looking like a ghost.
Borders,
a mother of two who lived in Bayonne, New Jersey, was diagnosed with
stomach cancer last year. She died Monday at the age of 42.
Her brother, Michael Borders, posted a message on Facebook Monday morning asking for people to pray for her. Late Monday night, he wrote: “I can’t believe my sister is gone.”
In
another Facebook post on a 9/11 memorial page, John Bordes, Marcy
Borders’ cousin, called her “my HERO” and said she “unfortunately
succumbed to the diseases that have riddled her body since 9/11.”continue reading-dust-lady

When I pause to remember 9.11.01, my memories seem to drift from one
scenario to another, from one atrocity to the next.  Most of all, when I
remember 9/11, my mind reels from the vast numbers of inexplicable coincidences
which seem to revolve around this national tragedy.
I remember that over 200 people jumped to their deaths from The Twin Towers,
no longer able to withstand the suffocating smoke and searing flames.  I
remember their heart-breaking, terrifying leaps into the empty nothingness of
space — just to be free, to exist for a mere 10 seconds more, before suffering
instant death on the concrete sidewalks of the World Trade Center below.
I remember the thousands of fire fighters and rescue workers who died slow,
lingering deaths, as many still do ’till this day, because our Environmental
Protection Agency had falsely assured them that the air at Ground Zero was safe
to breathe, despite the fact that all the workers from the EPA always wore full
HazMat suits at Ground Zero.
I remember how the top of the South Tower was COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED
from the lower portion of that building and was falling from it, yet we were
told by the toads of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) that
the tops of the World Trade Centers acted like “pile drivers” to collapse the
structures beneath them– even tho the structures beneath them were completely
undamaged, and the structures above them weighed nearly the exact same amount
as they did before the plane strikes.  And whereas real ‘pile drivers’
must be raised far into the air and then dropped for any ‘pile driving’ effect
to actually take place, it is my recollection of that day that neither top of
either World Trade Center was lifted and then dropped onto the building below
it.   However, I do remember that the designers of the World Trade
Centers had stated that they had designed both World Trade Centers to survive
multiple strikes from fully fueled 4 engine transatlantic airliners, and that somehow,
all 47 of the steel core columns of both buildings disappeared even tho neither
plane struck either central core of either tower.
I will also remember that jet fuel, with perfect vaporization, can reach
approx. 1600 degrees Farenheit, while structural steel melts at approximately
2700 degree Farenheit.   I also remember that the majority of the
fuel from both planes burned outside of the buildings.  I remember that a
fire broke out in one of the towers at the World Trade Center in 1993 and burned
for over 6 hours without causing ANY structural damage to that building, just
as I will remember that nowhere else on the planet has any steel framed high
rise building ever collapsed from fire, even from fires  that burned for
18 hours straight.   I definitely remember that the World Trade
Center towers were the first — and only — steel framed buildings to completely
collapse due to fire at any time, anywhere in the world, altho both of these
fires lasted less than two hours.
I do remember wondering how it was that 90,000 tons of hardened steel and
re-enforced concrete could essentially be vaporized into a powder finer than
talc, and spread throughout lower Manhattan; I wondered how unburned particles
of military grade nano-thermite could be found in the residue throughout the
World Trade Center, and dismissed because the samples had not come from
“official government sources.”   I wondered about the psychic ability of
the person who had arranged for the sale of scrap metal from the World Trade
Center collapse to be sold and shipped to China, months in advance of the
attack on the World Trade Center; just as I wondered how “Lucky” Larry
Silverstein, who owned The World Trade Center and who ritually enjoyed
breakfast every morning at the “Windows on the World Restaurant” on the top
floor of The World Trade Center, had somehow decided not to do so on the
morning of September 11th.
I will remember that only a day after the World Trade Center Towers  #1
and #2 collapsed, investigators discovered glowing hot spots of radioactivity
under both piles of rubble; and that rivers of molten steel were observed
running under both World Trade Centers as late as December 21st, over three
months after their collapse; what sort of otherworldly jet fuel could do that?…
I remember wondering.   I even remember that nearly all the gold and
silver bars stored in the basements of the World Trade Center towers were
removed the previous day, but that one truck  was found stuck under the
debris pile.  Somehow, the custodians of all that gold and silver (nearly
100 tons of precious metals) had apparently moved it out on a hunch or a whim
the day before 9/11, because, of course, no one other than the alleged
hijackers and Osama bin Laden had advance knowledge of this event.
I will remember the denials of our government that the black boxes from the
planes which struck The World Trade Center towers were not found at Ground
Zero, when three of the four boxes actually were found at Ground Zero by
firefighters Mike Bellone and Nicholas De Masi, who publicly stated in 2004
that they had found them.  I remember reading that Bellone and De Masi
said that Federal agents told the two men not to mention having found them, and
all the black boxes were immediately confiscated by the FBI.
I remember that
approximately one month before 9/11, both towers were shut down for an entire
weekend, electrical power to both towers completely cut, and bomb sniffing dogs
removed from both buildings, while anonymous “workers” in gray suits, hauling
huge cables on their arms, moved in and out of both towers, doing “repairs” of
an unknown nature, resulting in people returning to their offices the following
Monday at The World Trade Center to find a 1/2 inch layer of dust covering
everything.
I will remember that two seismographs in New York (separately) recorded
deep, underground disturbances approximately 15 seconds before either plane
struck either tower, which could indicate cutting charges severing both
buildings from their foundations by explosives — or perhaps New York City
coincidentally suffered two significant earthquakes precisely 15 seconds before
either plane struck either tower. You do believe in coincidence, don’t you?continue reading

Katrina 10 Years Later – The Human Toll of Katrina – Attack on New Orleans – Black and Poor White Depopulation

Was Katrina a planed attack on New Orleans to depopulate the Poor White and Black community?

The death toll from Katrina is uncertain, but according to the National Hurricane Center, 1,836 fatalities
can be attributed to the storm: 1 in Kentucky, 2 each in Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio,
14 in Florida, 238 in Mississippi, and 1,577 in Louisiana. There are
still thousands missing. The mayor of New Orleans said that as any as
10,000 could had died from the flooding of New Orleans.

What’s the city’s population? Before: about 484,000 people.
_ After: about 360,400 people.

In
the city, the Census Bureau estimated 97,000 fewer African Americans in 2015
compared to 2000, 14,984 fewer whites and 4,830 more Hispanics.97,000 fewer Blacks. What happen to all the Black population? Where did they go? Did Houston, Memphis, St. Louis, Baton Rough, Dallas or some other city have a big increase in the Black population due to Katrina? NO What happen to the 100,000 Blacks? Did many of them wash out to sea? WHERE ARE THEY?

Katrina was called the perfect hurricane. It came ashore on Christian Pass Mississippi. Hurricane Katrina did not cause the flooding that devastated New Orleans, but On 29 August 2005 there were over 50 failures of the levees and flood walls protecting New Orleans, Louisiana, and its suburbs following passage of Hurricane Katrina
and landfall in Mississippi. The levee and flood wall failures caused
flooding in 80% of New Orleans and all of St. Bernard Parish. Tens of
billions of gallons of water spilled into vast areas of New Orleans,
flooding over 100,000 homes and businesses. Responsibility for the
design and construction of the levee system belongs to the United States Army Corps of Engineers; the responsibility of maintenance belongs to the local levee boards.continue reading Levee failure.

Was The New Orleans
Flooding A Planned Event?

Commentary
By Michael Shore

The following eyewitness accounts produced the following
statement by the people who were there and witnessed first hand what was
going on in New Orleans and this is what they had to say regarding the
U.S. government’s actions with the people of New Orleans:

“We couldn’t starve them out, the hurricane didn’t
kill them, it seems planned.”

The idea that this whole hurricane disaster was a planned
event just like 911 is incomprehensible to just about everyone. But it
actually may have been. Please read the following two articles that appeared
on Rense. Technology now exists that can control and manipulate the weather…to
what degree is not known. A disaster like Katrina is not incomprehensible
when gangsters take control of such a powerful weapon. The Illuminati and
the Bush/Cheney gang and their associates in crime can literally get away
with murder on a grand scale in broad daylight – as long as they can keep
their secret of the existence of scalar weather weapons from the People,
which they are obviously successful in doing.

Was Hurricane Katrina A Man Made Storm For Profit?

The accounts of the eyewitness storyfurther suggests
manipulation. The gangsters seem to be primed to grab many of the assets
a large chunks of land in New Orleans without having to use a major war
to do so. After everything has quieted down, they will then use taxpayer
money to rebuild …including casinos, hotels, shopping malls, condos etc,
etc. They will loot vast sums from the billions in Federal aid it will
take to repair the levees and infrastructure of the city. The Illuminati
bankers will also make billions in interest from the loans they will make
to the government, corporations and some individuals, who will need the
necessary financing for rebuilding. Of course, the slow response or “no
response” to this disaster is part of the plan. In one small swoop,
these gangsters have gotten “the poor niggers” off the land,
so when they rebuild, this area will become a major upscale lily white
NEW TOWN. How sick can they be?continue reading

 P.S. Do research
online. You might be shocked at what you uncover. Invite your friends
to read the above articles about weather manipulation. Do a google search
for ‘scalar weapons’ and read more about this amazing technology. Spread
the word…while we still can.

One decade after Hurricane Katrina -…

Maggie
Carroll couldn’t sleep – not after what she had read earlier in the
day. It was 11 January 2006, four months after the deadly floods
triggered by Hurricane Katrina had swallowed many of New Orleans’ neighbourhoods.
Carroll and her husband were among the first to return after the
storm and take stock of theirs, Broadmoor, a low-lying area whose raised
bungalows and colourful shotgun houses had been inundated by up to 10
feet of water. The Carrolls’ home on Walmsley Avenue had been left
structurally sound; its wood floors didn’t buckle. Still, the water had
picked up pieces of furniture, carried them across rooms and left them
ruined. It broke up the back deck and crushed the garage door, before
submerging Maggie’s grandfather’s 1963 Chevy.
Renting an apartment off Magazine Street, a short drive away, for
$1,300 a month, the Carrolls faced days filled with uncertainty. Then,
on 11 January, the front-page story in the New Orleans Times-Picayune gave them yet another jolt. A mayoral-appointed Bring New Orleans Back Commission had sketched out a plan
it hoped would open the tap of federal aid. Crafted by a team of
outside consultants, the blueprint suggested concentrating redevelopment
on the city’s higher, less-flood-prone ground.continue reading

THV11 of Little Rock aired and story that was totally not news nor news worthy.  Arkansas Flag and Banner –  Sales of Confederate Rebel Flag increase 1600% Following Charleston Church Shooting. Kerry McCoy is owner of Arkansas Flag and Banner maintains that the flag is part of her heritage yet she also president of a black heritage foundation Dreamland Ballroom
which is housed in same building as her store selling confederate merchandise. What a conflict of interest. Dale Charles President of NAACP held a news conference protesting the confederate merchandise being sold.  Kerry McCoy, is  Founder of Dreamland Ballroom and have received tens of thousand of dollars for the preservation of The Black Cultural  Taborian Hall Dreamland Ballroom. Are the funds for the Dreamland Ballroom going to promote her racist confederate cultural center?  Is she running a scam on the black community? It appears that the only thing being preserve by the Dreamland money is the Confederate Cultural Center.
Dreamland Ballroom was a proud host to musical greats such as:
♦ Ray Charles♦ Louis Armstrong and His Orchestra♦ B. B. King, The Blues Boy♦ Lloyd Armon and Swingsters♦ Duke Ellington♦ Jimmy Witherspoon♦ Blind Al Hibbler♦ Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzie Gillespie♦ Etta “Wallflower” James

The banned old flag

Controversy swirls in Little Rock over Confederate flag.

  • TIME TO GO: Confederate flags should be relegated to museums, said the NAACP’s Dale Charles.
A flag is, of course, just a piece of cloth. We are the ones who turn it into something more than cotton or polyester. Since the June 18 massacre at Charleston’s historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina, however, America has been doing some soul searching over the Confederate flag, the most enduring symbol of the Confederacy.
Soon after the arrest of the alleged killer, 21-year-old white supremacist Dylann Storm Roof, a website was found featuring a racist manifesto and multiple photos of Roof posing with his pistol and the Confederate battle flag. Within the week, Alabama and other Southern states had furled the Confederate flags that flew over their Capitol grounds, and giant retailers like Walmart, Amazon and eBay said they would no longer sell items bearing the well-known image. In Arkansas, there is a growing call to remove the fourth and highest star in the center of the Arkansas state flag, which represents our membership in the Confederacy.
In Central Arkansas, for now, a good bit of the controversy over the Confederate flag seems to have settled on the doorstep of Little Rock’s Arkansas Flag and Banner. The business is located at 800 W. Ninth St. in Taborian Hall, whose storied Dreamland Ballroom once hosted some of America’s greatest African-American entertainers before urban renewal efforts and the construction of Interstate 630 destroyed most of the city’s black business district along Ninth. The Arkansas chapter of the NAACP held a protest there over the weekend, demanding that Arkansas Flag and Banner stop selling the flag.
Dale Charles, the president of the Arkansas State Conference of the NAACP, said the Confederate battle flag symbolized the fight to preserve slavery and should be consigned to the museums. “If you know [slavery was] wrong,” Charles said, “why would you want to continue to keep that as the symbol of your history? You should be ashamed of it and try to get rid of it.”
Asked what he says to people who say the Confederate flag is about history, not hate, Charles said that the two ideas weren’t mutually exclusive. “History can be hate. History is hate in a lot of instances,” he said. “In this case, it is hate. It is about history. But it’s a dark history that should not be continued and should not be celebrated. History belongs in museums. Not out on cars, and not out on state capitol grounds.”
In speaking about the controversy, Charles noted a terrible coincidence. In 1957, six women and three men integrated Little Rock’s Central High School. The same number, six women and three men, died in Charleston. Charles said that while Walmart, eBay, Amazon and others have the right to continue selling the flag, their move to stop selling it is a hopeful sign.
“They have the right,” he said. “But somebody made the decision to say, ‘I will no longer continue to make a profit, like the South did off of slaves, with something that is inhumane, that is wrong, that dehumanized a group of people.’ ” Asked if the Little Rock NAACP will continue its campaign to get Flag and Banner to stop selling the flag, Charles said that while he didn’t want to telegraph its next move, last week’s press conference was “the first step.”
Sericia Cole, director of the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center in Little Rock, said she believes it’s time to consign the Confederate battle flag to museums, where it can be put into the context of history. Speaking for herself and not on behalf of the museum, Cole said that the flag is a symbol that still has power, especially for African Americans. When she sees a Confederate flag on a car or on a flagpole, it doesn’t bring to mind history. Her first reaction is that the person who is displaying it would not want to talk to an African American.
“I know there are some people who say that it’s just a symbol,” she said. “But symbolism has a great effect on our psyche. It creates a visceral reaction for people, a palpable reaction, and those reactions are usually negative for African Americans.”
Cole said that after an event like the murders in Charleston, it’s important for the nation to begin to talk about the issues at hand. While African Americans have been largely silent until now about their feelings about the Confederate flag, Cole said, “if you really listen to them, you know it’s more than just a piece of cloth. It symbolizes something hateful and hurtful and painful in history. We’re trying to move forward. If we’re trying to move forward, let’s move forward with symbols that are more positive and indicative of our desire to be in solidarity with one another as Americans.”
Speaking before the NAACP protest, Arkansas Flag and Banner owner Kerry McCoy said that before the controversy over the flag, sales of Confederate flags and associated items were “not even 1 percent of 1 percent of their sales,” with its biggest seller being Confederate flag bikinis. Since the flag started coming down, however, McCoy said she had sold more Confederate flags than she had in the past 10 years. She believes that most of the sales are just about people wanting what seems forbidden.
“We’ve had several people call and say, ‘I don’t even care about the Confederate flag, but when somebody tells me I can’t have it, I want one. I’m just buying it to put in a closet,’ ” she said. “As soon as you say you can’t have it, everybody wants it. It’s crazy, but that’s just human nature.”
McCoy said that those trying to see the flag banned were ignoring the real issue. In the photos of killer Dylann Storm Roof, she notes, he’s got a gun in one hand and a flag in the other. “It’s not the flag that killed those people. It’s the gun that killed them,” she said. “If we want to talk about something, we need to talk about the gun that killed those people. How does a nut end up with a gun? I don’t know the answer.”
While McCoy says she thinks it’s fine for large retailers like Walmart and Amazon to take a stand and stop selling Confederate flag items, the founder of the Black Heritage Dreamland and owner of Arkansas Flag and Banner is  said, “I specialize in a certain product line,” she said. “This is my product line. … I’m not here for censorship. I’m not a politician, and I’m not here to judge. I also sell the gay pride flag. I get plenty of hate mail about the gay pride flag. I can’t judge anybody.”
In addition to the familiar Confederate battle flag, Arkansas Flag and Banner also sells a half-dozen historic flags related to the Civil War, including the Bonnie Blue Flag, the campaign headquarters flag of Gen. Robert E. Lee; and the first, second and third national flags that flew over the Confederacy during its existence. McCoy says that she tries to steer those seeking the Confederate battle flag to other, more historic flags. She says that while she hates that the Confederate flag has been adopted by hate groups and has become a symbol of racism, the flag also serves as a reminder of those who perished in the Civil War.

KKK Plans Pro-Confederate Flag Rally In South Carolina

Members of the Ku Klux Klan have announced plans to rally next month in South Carolina in support of the Confederate flag.
State officials confirmed to The Washington Post that the Loyal White Knights chapter of the KKK got permission to meet at the statehouse in Columbia on July 18. The group’s website says it is the largest Klan in America.
James Spears, whose title is “great titan” of the Pelham, North Carolina, group, told Politico the rally would center around the organization’s opposition to the Confederate flag being removed from outside the statehouse, which Spears told the publication was done “for all the wrong reasons.”
“It’s part of white people’s culture,” he said.
The rally is set to take place just a month after 21-year-old Dylann Roof allegedly opened fire in a black church in Charleston, killing nine people. While the community continues to heal, and some family members of the victims have forgiven Roof, Spears told Politico he feels “sorry for the boy.”
“I think he picked the wrong target,” Spears said. “A better target for him would have been these gang-bangers, running around rapping, raping and stealing.”
Robert Jones, a “grand dragon” for the chapter, told Charleston-area newspaper The Post and Courier that Roof is a “young warrior.”
“If you’re white and proud, join the crowd,” the message says of the planned rally. “Save our land, join the Klan.”

Pinckney lies in state as Confederate flag flies…

 COLUMBIA, S.C., June 24 (UPI) — The
coffin of Clementa Pinckney, a South Carolina state senator and pastor
of a church where he and eight others were shot, arrived Wednesday at
the state house where a much-debated Confederate flag still flies.A horse-drawn caisson brought Pinckney’s body
to the South Carolina State House, where he was scheduled to lie in
state for four hours. When the coffin arrived, the Confederate flag was
flying as part of a Civil War memorial on the state house grounds.

That particular Confederate flag — and indeed the Confederate emblem in general — has faced much backlash in the wake of the racially motivated shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, which left nine people dead.

Images spread of the alleged shooter posing next to Confederate flags, which are often associated with white supremacist groups.

Some argued flying the Confederate flag at the South Carolina State House while Pinckney lies in state is offensive.

Charleston Shooting Victims Identified

Rev. Clementa Pinckney
Pinckney, 41, was a father to two children, Eliana and Malana, according to the Emanuel African Methodist
Episcopal Church website. He received his first appointment as a pastor
at age 18. He was first elected to the state’s House of Representatives
in 1996 at age 23, and in 2000 he was elected to the state Senate.

“Senator Clementa C. Pinckney was a leader in the Senate of South
Carolina, a strong advocate for his constituents, a great pastor and
community leader, but most importantly, a cherished and loved husband,
father and son,” South Carolina Sen. Hugh Leatherman said in a statement
today.
Rev. Sharonda Singleton
The Rev. Sharonda Singleton, 45, one of the handful of ministerial staff of Emanuel AME Church, was killed Wednesday night.
She was reportedly a speech therapist and girls’ track and field coach at Goose Creek High School.
“As a teacher and a coach, she was very professional in everything she
did,” former Goose Creek athletic director Chuck Reedy told The Post and Courier. “She was an excellent role model for all of our students, in the way she carried herself. She was just first class.”
Her son Chris Singleton participated in vigils Thursday, reflecting on his mother’s life.
“My Mom was a God-fearing woman, and she loved everybody with all her
heart, and to the other families, I’m sorry about what happened,”
Singleton said. “Obviously you guys are as devastated as we are, but I
know for a fact that things will get better as time goes on.”
Chris Singleton, who plays baseball at Charleston Southern University, said he was thinking about his mother’s smile.
“I just say, ‘Love is always stronger than hate,’ so if we would just
love the way my mom would, then hate won’t be anywhere close to what
love is,” he said.
Myra Thompson
Another woman, named Myra Thompson, 59, was killed at the church, where a bible study group was meeting Wednesday night.
Tywanza Sanders
Tywanza Sanders, 26, a 2014 graduate of Allen University’s division of
business administration in Columbia, South Carolina, also died.

“He was a quiet, well-known student who was committed to his education,”
according to a statement from Allen University, a historically Black
college located in Columbia, South Carolina.
“He presented a warm and helpful spirit as he interacted with his
colleagues. Mr. Sanders was participating in the Bible Study session at
Mother Emanuel church at the time of the shooting.”
Ethel Lee Lance
Ethel Lee Lance, 70, a sexton at the church, was also killed in the shooting.
“Granny was the heart of the family,” her grandson Jon Quil Lance told The Post and Courier outside Medical University Hospital.
She had worked at the church for more than 30 years, he told the newspaper.
“She’s a Christian, hardworking; I could call my granny for anything. I don’t have anyone else like that,” he said.
Cynthia Hurd
Cynthia Hurd, 54, was a 31-year employee of the Charleston County Public
Library, according to its Facebook page. The St. Andrews Regional
Manager “dedicated her life to serving and improving the lives of
others,” the library stated. To honor Hurd and the others killed, the
Charleston County Public Library’s 16 locations are closed today.

Charleston Prayer Meeting Massacre

Reprint from Solon

The historic African-American Emanuel AME Methodist Church was assaulted by at least one white gunman on Wednesday evening in Charleston, South Carolina. At least nine people have been confirmed dead.

The
story is still developing. At present, Charleston authorities are
reporting that this mass shooting and likely right-wing domestic
terrorist assault is a hate crime.

While this horrific event is
one more murderous and racist blow to the African-American community in
Charleston–the killing of Walter Scott by a white thug cop being the
most high-profile and recent offense–the reporting on the mass shooting
at Emanuel Baptist is an additional affront via the White Racial Frame as practiced by the mainstream news media.

(Facebook) A photo of Charleston shooting suspect Dylann Roof wears Rhodesian and South African Apartheid flag patches

Both of these flags represent defunct African governments whose regimes
were controlled by white minorities. Both countries had racial
segregation policies, and as a result they are admired by many American
white supremacists.

As
shown on MSNBC Wednesday night, a local Charleston reporter asked a
group of African-American activists, community leaders what the black community could do to prevent events like the mass shooting at Emanuel Baptist. This bizarre moment continued
with the reporter seemingly rejecting the obvious–that racism is an
obvious element in the white-on-black murders committed at Emanuel
Baptist–and doubling down by suggesting that the black community gives
comfort to “snitches,” thus wondering if black folks will in fact turn
in a white domestic terrorist who had killed at least nine people.

The
headline on the breaking news report about the Charleston shooting was
an additional example of how the White Racial Frame dominates news
coverage. MSNBC’s screen read “Police searching for 21-year-old
suspect.” He was not described as “white”: the American news media is
much more likely to racially mark black and brown suspects in crimes,
and to include their racial description (or religious/ethnic as in
the ubiquitous ”Arab” or “Muslim” “terrorist.”

To watch such a series of questions being asked
to a community that only several hours ago suffered a viciously violent
terrorist attack is wholly unbelievable. Yet somehow black Americans are
so disrespected, derided and associated with criminality that they are
responsible for their own murders by a white domestic terrorist.

White
right-wing domestic terrorism is one of the greatest threats to public
safety and security in post 9/11 United States of America. Such a
plain-spoken fact is verboten in mainstream American public discourse.

As
such, there are several phrases and words that are likely to not be
used by the corporate news media in the discussions of the Charleston
mass murders at the Emanuel Baptist Church.

They include:

1.
What is radicalizing white men to commit such acts of domestic
terrorism and mass shootings? Are Fox News and the right-wing media
encouraging violence?

2. Is something wrong with the white family? Why are their sons and men so violent?

3. What should law enforcement and white politicians do about white crime?

4. Is the Charleston mass shooting just one more sign that America needs sensible and reasonable gun control policies?

5. Where are the white fathers in the white home?

6. When will white leadership step up and stop white right-wing domestic terrorism?

7. Is White American culture pathological? Why is White America so violent?

8.
Are there appropriate role models for white men and boys? Could better
role models and mentoring help to prevent white men and boys from
committing mass shootings and being seduced by right-wing domestic
terrorism?

Once and again, white privilege is the power to be the
ultimate individual where one’s actions and behavior rarely if ever
reflects on the collective character of white people en masse. By
comparison, Black and brown Americans, Muslims, Arabs and the Other more
generally are routinely subjected to group punishment and demonization.

White
Americans will not have to look in the mirror and ask, “what does it
feel like to be a problem.” In the aftermath of recurring mass shooting
events, and right-wing domestic terrorism, it is essential that they
start to practice such acts of introspection in the interest of the
Common Good.

Kurtis Cook, Texas Volunteer Firefighter, Fired After Writing That Dylann Roof ‘Needs To Be Praised’

GOING VIRAL: TX firefighter fired after
      post

      Comments:

Kurtis Cook is voicing the views of Albert Pike and so many Scottish Rite Freemasons.

The crime that took place at the Emanuel AME was an assassination of Senator Pinckney and his church members were collateral damage. Dylann Roof was a hired assassin. The assassination was a masonic hit. The Mother Supreme Council of the World of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry,” was founded in Charleston South Carolina. Cook racist views are the same as the KKK. The KKK was founded by Albert Pike who was head of the Scottish Rite Freemason in Charleston. Charleston County Magistrate James Gosnell Jr., as well as the other possible judges will be high degree Scottish Rite Masons. A Mason can not pass judgement on another Freemason nor his son. Dylann Roof father Franklin Roof who brought Dylann the gun used to assassinate Senator Pinckney is a Scottish Rite mason. Real justice can not be obtain in South Carolina for the assassination of Sen. Pinckney and the murder of the other eight members of Emanuel AME church. Masonry runs deep South Carolina in both the black and white community.

Well, it’s better that these guys speak up and get removed instead of keeping quite and not knowing they exist. Volunteer firefighter is a rather trivial position, other offices of Government and authority on the other hand…

No surpises here, I bet lots of Texans secretly are happy of the brutal murder of those good citizens in Charlston, many down here live for stuff like this and hate us. It is palpable. I hate it here and actually keep my interactions to a miniumn when possible.

Rick Perry accidentally called the massacre an “accident.” Later, his campaign said he really meant “incident.” I’m unsure if that’s any better.

It’s a warning sign…identification with and sympathy for a perpetrator of violence is concerning, particularly when they believe that the motive is justified.

S.C. Masonic  judge urges support for Dylann Roof’s family

A South Carolina judge opened the Friday hearing for racist mass
murderer Dylann Roof with a tone-deaf statement urging the community to
    rally around the killer’s family.

“We have victims — nine of them. But we also have victims on the
other side,” Charleston County Magistrate James “Skip” Gosnell, Jr.
announced in the courtroom packed with the victims’ anguished relatives.

A 33rd degree Mason, he was one
    of
the founding fathers, and head of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite
    of Freemasonry
, being the Grand Commander of North American
Freemasonry from 1859 and retained that position until his death in
1891. In 1869, he was a top leader in the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

    Pike was said to
    be a Satanist
, who indulged in the occult, and he apparently
possessed a bracelet which he used to summon Lucifer, with whom
he had constant communication. He was the Grand Master of a Luciferian
group known as the Order of the Palladium (or Sovereign Council
of Wisdom), which had been founded in Paris in 1737. Palladism had been
brought to Greece from Egypt by Pythagoras in the fifth century,
and it was this cult of Satan that was introduced to the inner
circle of the Masonic lodges. It was aligned with the Palladium of the
Templars. In 1801, Issac Long, a Jew, brought a statue of
    Baphomet
(Satan) to Charleston, South Carolina, where he helped to
establish the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Long apparently chose
Charleston because it was geographically located on the 33rd
parallel of latitude (incidentally, so is Baghdad), and this council is
considered to be the Mother Supreme Council of all Masonic Lodges of the
    World.

Why Albert Pike‘s Statue Must Fall – The Scottish…

In the heart of Washington, D.C.,
there is a large statue and monument
honoring the most important founder of
    the Ku Klux Klan.

Inscribed on the base of the
    statue are the words, “poet”–the
terrorist anthem of the KKK was his
    most famous literary work–and
    “jurist”–he was called the KKK’s
    chief judiciary officer, and reputedly
wrote the organization manual for the
    terrorist anti-black movement after the
    U.S. Civil War.

    The immense, bearded figure of
    Confederate General Albert Pike is
looming over a public square in the
nation’s capital. Why has it never been
pulled down in that predominantly black
    city?

The statue is a tribute to the
    influence of Pike’s organization. It
has power in the Executive Branch, and
the Congress, and it is decisive in the
courts. It has great power in all
branches of law enforcement and the
    military.

Do I mean that the Ku Klux Klan
has such sway over the government? No,
I’m speaking here of the “Scottish
    Rite of Freemasonry Southern
Jurisdiction,” of which Pike was the
    chief, or “Sovereign Grand
    Commander.”

The Ku Klux Klan, the Southern
    Confederacy, and the pre-Civil War
    secession movement were a single,
    continuous project, with Pike’s
“Scottish Rite” at its center. Though
    the Confederacy was defeated, this
project lives on today, and now
    dominates U.S. political life.

Did Dylann Roof Wanted to Start a Race War or Civil War 2?

Why did Roof drive 250 miles to attend the oldest black church in America, that happen to be located where the Civil War started?

The Civil War was started in Charleston South Carolina by Racist men who wanted A Confederate State of America. Looking at Roof’s pics I can say that his passion and desire was to start a race war.

Its hard to imagine that a 21 year kid from Colorado could come up with this plan on his own.

This shooting was not random and it appears to be a conspiracy involving others.

The Confederate Flag Is a Racist Symbol of a Failed Rebellion. It’s Not a Debate.

Take Down the Confederate Flag—Now

 http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/06/take-down-the-confederate-flag-now/396290/

Last night, Dylann Roof
walked into a Charleston church, sat for an hour, and then killed nine
people. Roof’s crime cannot be divorced from the ideology of white
supremacy which long animated his state nor from its potent symbol—the
Confederate flag. Visitors to Charleston have long been treated to South
Carolina’s attempt to clean its history and depict its secession as
something other than a war to guarantee the enslavement of the majority
of its residents. This notion is belied by any serious interrogation of
the Civil War and the primary documents of its instigators. Yet the
Confederate battle flag—the flag of Dylann Roof—still flies on the Capitol grounds in Columbia. The Confederate flag’s defenders often claim it represents “heritage
not hate.” I agree—the heritage of White Supremacy was not so much
birthed by hate as by the impulse toward plunder. Dylann Roof plundered
nine different bodies last night, plundered nine different families of
an original member, plundered nine different communities of a singular
member. An entire people are poorer for his action. The flag that Roof
embraced, which many South Carolinians embrace, does not stand in
opposition to this act—it endorses it. That the Confederate flag is the
symbol of of white supremacists is
