Leading Palestinian officials have rounded on the Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich for his description of Palestinians as an “invented” people and “terrorists”
Palestine is a biblical name for a region. (Gen.32:12) The people living in that region was called Palestinians as well as Samaritans, Syrians, Canaanites, Edward Robinson identified more than 100 biblical place names in Palestine, by pursuing his belief that linguistic analysis of the place names used by the Arab fellahin would reveal preserved traces of their ancient roots. The name Palestine refers to a region of the eastern Mediterranean coast from the sea to the Jordan valley and from the southern Negev desert to the Galilee lake region in the north. The word itself derives from “Plesheth”, a name that appears frequently in the Bible and has come into English as “Philistine”. From the fifth century BC, following the historian Herodotus, Greeks called the eastern coast of the Mediterranean “the Philistine Syria” using the Greek language form of the name. In AD 135, after putting down the Bar Kochba revolt, the second major Jewish revolt against Rome, the Emperor Hadrian wanted to blot out the name of the Roman “Provincia Judaea” and so renamed it “Provincia Syria Palaestina”, the Latin version of the Greek name and the first use of the name as an administrative unit. The name “Provincia Syria Palaestina” was later shortened to Palaestina, from which the modern, anglicized “Palestine” is derived.
This remained the situation until the end of the fourth century, when in the wake of a general imperial reorganization Palestine became three Palestines: First, Second, and Third. This configuration is believed to have persisted into the seventh century, the time of the Persian and Muslim conquests.
The Christian Crusaders employed the word Palestine to refer to the general region of the “three Palestines.” After the fall of the crusader kingdom, Palestine was no longer an official designation. The name, however, continued to be used informally for the lands on both sides of the Jordan River. The Ottoman Turks, who were non-Arabs but religious Muslims, ruled the area for 400 years (1517-1917). Under Ottoman rule, the Palestine region was attached administratively to the province of Damascus and ruled from Istanbul. The name Palestine was revived after the fall of the Ottoman Empire in World War I and applied to the territory in this region that was placed under the British Mandate for Palestine.
Many cites in the US are named Palestine. Citing a recent Forbes article by Dinesh D’Souza, former House speaker Newt Gingrich tells National Review Online that President Obama may follow a “Kenyan, anti-colonial” worldview.
Gingrich says that D’Souza has made a “stunning insight” into Obama’s behavior — the “most profound insight I have read in the last six years about Barack Obama.”
“What if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]?” Gingrich asks. “That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”
“This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who happened to have played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president,” Gingrich tells us.

On the August 16 edition of Fox News’ Fox & Friends, Newt Gingrich said, “Nazis don’t have the right to put up a sign next to the Holocaust Museum in Washington. We would never accept the Japanese putting up a site next to Pearl Harbor. There’s no reason for us to accept a mosque next to the World Trade Center.”
Gingrich smears Sotomayor as a “racist.” ABC’s Jake Tapper and Huma Khan reported on May 27, 2009, that Gingrich had written on Twitter: “Imagine a judicial nominee said ‘my experience as a white man makes me better than a Latina woman’ new racism is no better than old racism” and “White man racist nominee would be forced to withdraw. Latina woman racist should also withdraw.” Gingrich later said that he didn’t know whether Sotomayor herself was a racist, but her quote about a wise Latinawas “clearly racist.”
Gingrich: Bilingual education teaches “the language of living in a ghetto.” An April 1, 2007, Associated Press article reported that Gingrich described bilingual education as teaching “the language of living in a ghetto” and mocked requirements that ballots be printed in multiple languages:
“The government should quit mandating that various documents be printed in any one of 700 languages depending on who randomly shows up” to vote, Gingrich said. The former Georgia congressman, who is considering seeking the GOP presidential nomination in 2008, made the comments in a speech to the National Federation of Republican Women.
“The American people believe English should be the official language of the government. . . . We should replace bilingual education with immersion in English so people learn the common language of the country and they learn the language of prosperity, not the language of living in a ghetto,” Gingrich said, drawing cheers from the crowd of more than 100.
“Citizenship requires passing a test on American history in English. If that’s true, then we do not have to create ballots in any language except English,” he said.
The AP article further reported that in 1995 Gingrich said that bilingualism poses “long-term dangers to the fabric of our nation” and that “allowing bilingualism to continue to grow is very dangerous.”
Gingrich: Poor blacks fail to acquire wealth partly because of their “habits.” A June 16, 1995,Washington Post article reported that Gingrich, in a discussion with black journalists, stated that the failure of poor black people to acquire wealth was in part due to their “habits.” From the Post article:
He acknowledged that it was more “difficult to acquire wealth as a black in America,” but added that more than skin color is at play. “The truth is that preachers and lawyers have been more dominant in the black culture in the last 40 years than have business people,” said Gingrich. “The habits of the church and the habits of the lawsuit have been more powerful than the habits of acquisition and the habits of job creation.”

Asked what he would tell a black child who grew up with the notion of the United States as a colorblind nation, Gingrich said he’d respond: “We’re not colorblind. I’d say it’s a lie to walk into a school in America and say, ‘This is a colorblind society.’ And we shouldn’t lie to children.”
Pressed on what he would tell children who wondered what their opportunities were, Gingrich said his answer would be: “If you’re black you have to work harder, and if you’re black and poor you have to work twice as hard.”
Gingrich, who has been intimately involved in District affairs, also was asked to respond to the suspicions of some residents that Republican interest in the city is part of a “conspiracy to boot out the black-run government” and “roust out” poor blacks.
“I understand the fear,” he said. “What I want to do is transform Anacostia so the people currently living there are able to participate in the transformation so that five or 10 years from now they have new habits. Let me be very clear about this: I’m prepared to say to the poor, ‘You have to learn new habits. The habits of being poor don’t work. So yes, you’ve got to change.’ “
Gingrich on women in combat: Women would have trouble staying in ditches “because they get infections;” “males are biologically driven to go out and hunt giraffes.” A January 19, 1995,New York Times article reported on concerns about women in military combat roles that Gingrich had raised while teaching a history course at Georgia’s Reinhardt College. The Times reported that Gingrich told his students that “females have biological problems staying in a ditch for 30 days because they get infections, and they don’t have upper body strength,” and added that men “are basically little piglets; you drop them in a ditch, they roll around in it.”
Gingrich reportedly further said that if being in combat “means being on an Aegis class cruiser managing the computer controls for 12 ships and their rockets, a female again may be dramatically better than a male who gets very, very frustrated sitting in a chair all the time because males are biologically driven to go out and hunt giraffes.”
Gingrich proposes denying welfare benefits to young mothers and instead using funds to establish orphanages. A December 11, 1994, New York Times article reported: “Mr. Gingrich … has proposed that money saved by denying welfare benefits to young mothers be used to provided services to children, including promoting adoptions and establishing orphanages or group homes.” Gingrich’s proposal was included in his “Contract with America” under “The Personal Responsibility Act,” which proposed to “[d]iscourage illegitimacy and teen pregnancy by prohibiting welfare to minor mothers and denying increased AFDC [Aid to Families with Dependent Children] for additional children while on welfare, cut spending for welfare programs, and enact a tough two-years-and-out provision with work requirements to promote individual responsibility.”
According to the Contract’s description of the proposal, “The state will use the funds for programs to reduce out-of-wedlock pregnancies, to promote adoption, to establish and operate orphanages, to establish and operate residential group homes for unwed mothers, or for any purpose the state deems appropriate.”

I think that it is a very dangerous threat to anybody who believes in traditional religion.” Gingrich also stated: “[W]hen the radicals lost the vote in California, they are determined to impose their will on this country no matter what the popular opinion, no matter what the law of the land.”

Unfortunately there have been quite a few disturbing things happening within our Church. Between this, Andrews University students bowing in worship at a mosque,some of our churches being rented for sunday worship, etc; has gotten me scratching my head. The dragon is indeed wroth with the woman. I just think that we should speak out on those things if we can and at the same time look to the Holy Spirit for guidance and spiritual strenght. Another thing too, i asked a friend of mine to search for pictures of Sister White`s place of buriel and she sent me 4 of them which confirmed what i had read. Her tomb now has a pagan phallic symbol/Obelisk in it. Can anyone also verify this? It is certain that it was put there after her passing and it is also certain the forces of darkness were involved in this from within.

Pastor JD can worship everyday but God Almighty only set one day apart and sancitified it and that is the 7th day of the week so if he chooses to follow man’s traditions that is his choice and the more folks he brings into sunay worship like BG then they will answer for those lost. Perhaps even them. The 10 commandments are just that and God gives us a choice. So keep this poor man in prayer. We cannot serve to masters it will be God or Satan and Satan is behind Sunday and papal rome admits they changed the day not GOD.
The leaders who invited this man to preach at such an established religious institution should watch this video. NO matter what has been already planned, the devil is behind such works as false teachings and doctrines, and this man, out of all people, knowingly making fun of his “Seventh Day Adventist” friends and practically blaspheming the 7th day Sabbath to be the first day of the week, should nowhere be near a place that Ellen G. White calls sacred grounds.
I am saddened that our universities are opening their doors to let paganism in to speakers that try to corrupt our students. (I’m sure they are even paying for T.D. Jakes to spread his spurious ideas. This is against the Spirit of Prophesy and I’m sure against the wishes of the parents and the marjority of students.
A little leavening can corrupt the whole batch and heresy slips in gradually to corrupt the whole. May God have mercy on the remenant! How will we ever receive the Holy Spirit when the vessels are unclean and our schools and churches are tainted with unholy worship.

What I find interesting is how both witnesses can be distorted to meet the goals of this man. We have a missionary machinery that is unmatached by any Christian organization on planet earth. It reaches into every corner of the known world. We have a message that T. D. Jakes and his kind have mocked and rejected. We need to pray for these leaders that they would repent and return to God.
Whatever happens from this incident, the line of distinction between those who serve God and those who serve Him not (including our leaders) will become more disceranable. What our ministers need is
not a motivational speech from a priest of Baal, but rather heartfelt consecration to the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.

May each member of God’s remnant church study for themselves and not be deceived by the Balaams in our midst.
We cannot call ourselves a remnant church and followers of Christ and not accept Bishop Jakes as brother! We can be very self righteous.

I am against Pastor TD Jakes speaking at Oakwood University. He speaks against the Seventh Day Church. And he is a wolf in sheeps clothing. I pray that the authority of Oakwood University would cancel Pastor TD Jakes speaking at Oakwood.
I can not help but to agreed with every comment stated against Rev.TDJ coming to Oakwood campus and the zeal and strong stand for Adventism, but can we a least act Christ like? We need to watch our zealous and emotional reactions. First of all, whatever the reason why our University leaders make such poor judgment, we must be man like Christ in mind, mouth and character: First of all, lets address our brethren (in error) with kindness and due respect. Secondly, there was a man named Paul who cursed and persecuted God’s church, then something happen, remember? Jesus never detracted his heartless enemies, neither Pilate, Barabbas, the Pharisee or poor Judas. Remember? Also I see beyond the infamous Rev. TDJ (I do mean to respectfully refer to him by his religious title) thousand of people are his faithful followers, among whom many are our brothers and sisters sealed with the seal of God but still in another fold. My dear brethren,this is God remnant church, no ours. He is still in control. I heartily agreed with you, but lets come together in a Christ like spirit and cry out to the Lord for the sins of his people. YOU GET IT? Love you in Christ and praying daily for his soon return.
